Between 1 and 10, then I'd rate his transfer as lightweight thus far.
It's been a B plus out of 5 stars.Between 1 and 10, then I'd rate his transfer as lightweight thus far.
You could aim for Vini jr, Camavinga or Tchouaméni but when they are at Real Madrid you cant get them if Madrid doesnt want to let them go. If they arent at Madrid yet but Madrid wants them you cant get them either. It's been a B plus out of 5 stars.
He's been very good. My only issue is I think we should aim for younger players like Camavinga or Vinicius, not the players they're replacing. That said, of they're available, why not get someone who can make an instant impact when your squad is really weak?
I think people forget how good we were defensively when we had Martinez, Varane and Casemiro playing at 100%. The stats people are just looking at xGD over the season and treating that as a purple patch but the two suspensions and him ramping back up after sitting on the sidelines for 2 months had a big effect in our data. As did the initial days when we were figuring everything out where McT had him benched for a while and people were calling him fat.Ok let’s be serious here, he currently costs the club £61m plus £10m add one on a 4+1 contract so we can amortise at just over £15m, first season we bought the best CDM in the world as he was voted in FIFPRO team, we got a CDM that provided the Glue to dysfunctional team, that constantly got overrun in midfield, for a short period of time, Varane, Martinez and Casemeiro in that base of the spine looked as good as any in the PL. He had two dodgy red cards, 13 yellow cards and played 48 games.
I think if we bought someone like Caciedo or D Rice and played either next to him in a 4231 formation away from home, we would see a huge improvement, buy a decent keeper, KMJ, 2 strikers like Kane and Thurham or R Hojlund and we would challenge because we wouldn’t lose 8 away games, maybe 4 and 1 draw 3 wins that’s 10 points more. The heavy defeats are because ETH thought the players he has can play 4-1-2-3 and the PL is too competitive.I think people forget how good we were defensively when we had Martinez, Varane and Casemiro playing at 100%. We're definitely getting there even if the data doesn't show it just yet.
Where would you play Bruno in this 4231?I think if we bought someone like Caciedo or D Rice and played either next to him in a 4231 formation away from home, we would see a huge improvement, buy a decent keeper, KMJ, 2 strikers like Kane and Thurham or R Hojlund and we would challenge because we wouldn’t lose 8 away games, maybe 4 and 1 draw 3 wins that’s 10 points more. I couldn't tell you but I'm not a scout. I'd expect them to know more players than me.You could aim for Vini jr, Camavinga or Tchouaméni but when they are at Real Madrid you cant get them if Madrid doesnt want to let them go. So its older but still very good Casemiro or a younger but -will never be as good a Casemiro or Camavinga- type of player.
Who would you have liked to go for last summer? Which player is anywhere near Casemiro his level or has the potential to be at, or near, that level and was also willing to join Manchester United?
No-one should have doubt Casemiro ability, the only concern is on his age, his 60m price tag. Had we got hold of him say 4 years ago, even 80m is inexpensive. What will happen when he is 33 years old, or 34. I doubt his contribution will be as good after 2 seasons, then it will be back to the Van Persie argument. Hopefully Casemiro can contribute more than 2 seasons, better than RVP's 1.Ok let’s be serious here, he currently costs the club £61m plus £10m add one on a 4+1 contract so we can amortise at just over £15m, first season we bought the best CDM in the world as he was voted in FIFPRO team, we got a CDM that provided the Glue to dysfunctional team, that constantly got overrun in midfield, for a short period of time, Varane, Martinez and Casemeiro in that base of the spine looked as good as any in the PL. He’s scored 6 goals, 6 assists as a CDM which means he has a Goal Involvement every 4 games as a CDM. He’s a clear 8.75/10 signing for this year, only blemish is reds and yellows but that’s also down to how deep the team play and how he’s normally a single pivot in a staggered 4-1-2-3 add the 2 games for Madrid and 5 at the WC, it’s no surprise he’s tired, by the time the season finished he would have played 58 games for a 31 going on 32 year old. If we can get the same output next year, 50 games Played with a 1 in 4 Goal involvements and we win another trophy and qualify for CL then he’s been a great signing whatever happens in last 2-3 years
Not so much just the dip in form all players have that, it’s the decline in energy over the past few months that worries me more.Showing his age, really? How? Dip in form for a few games?
Here’s the thing Casemeiro cost you personally nothing so why do you care about his price tag and Eriksen is a number 8/10 yet has only scored 1 goal in his pomp at spurs he was getting double figures, he has had a few assists but he still cost £10m per year on our accounts because of his wages, personally I’d buy Sergei Milinkosavic who would get 10-12 goals like KDB and Odegard, Eriksen was a smart signing but I wanted more goals from him. This united team lacks goals so to have a CDM that wants to try and score is a huge bonus.No-one should have doubt Casemiro ability, the only concern is on his age, his 60m price tag. By the same token, Eriksen is a steal, even if he can only contribute 2 seasons, because he cost us nothing, and is making instant impact.
I'm solidly behind that approach in principle. But there are always exceptions, and this is I think an obvious one. It's been a B plus out of 5 stars.

Impressive post for a 1 year oldHe's the most important player a United side have ever had, at least in my lifetime.
He will be 1 year older.A-. Very good overall but the suspensions have been a significant negative. No reason why he can't be even better next season now that he's settled into the team and premier league football.
The level of mathematics on this forum really is at an extraordinary level. He will be 1 year older.
I doubt it and I am tired listening to people telling me what to believe. I'm fighting against global warming, mercury poisoning, the taliban, I am extremely tired. I'm here now and I wont let anybody overtake me. My road!He will be 1 year older.
Your positivity is appreciated.8/10 when he first began, 7/10 now - seems to be declining rather fast. Will probably be an average 5/10 signing by the end of his contract.
Apart from our last match where he was the best player on the pitch and scored the winner.8/10 when he first began, 7/10 now - seems to be declining rather fast. Will probably be an average 5/10 signing by the end of his contract.
