I mean, it's one coat, Michael. What could it cost? A thousand pounds?
Paul Smith had a nice shop in Covent Garden back in the 90s. I bought a couple of things from there that I still wear. Good quality clothing. The zip up sweater he wears is also Paul Smith. They're a club sponsor / partner so I guess a lot of the players / staff get kitted out with their stuff
Bet those looked great pedalling your penny farthing home.I remember going to his shop in Nottingham back where he first started. Thought it was even a little expensive back then. But then again I was really young -- and back when I could get a pair of Doc Martin for like 12-14 quid.
Can’t see it going on sale if it was old out before. I’d definitely be tempted if it was reduced but still a lot of money even then and it’s definitely worth the RRP.I have some PS pieces, there are good quality.
I wouldn't pay 1000 euros for that though, when it goes on sale you can get it for 4-500 which is reasonable.
Why not? I don't think it's considered a classic staple piece and won't be surprised if they're discounted in the summer. I like Paul Smith designs too and the ones I've bought on sale have lasted me years - even if they are overpriced. Can’t see it going on sale if it was old out before. Lovely jacket in fairness. I loved those UBR jackets ETH used to wear. I actually splashed out on one with my Christmas bonus last year. Most I’ve ever spent on a jacket but around half the cost of the PS jacket.
I bought a Jimmy Hourihan Donegal tweed coat back in 1990. Looks as good as the day I bought it and keeps out all the cold. For keeping out the rain and sleet though, there's nothing to beat a Barbour. He also has the same coat that EtH used to wear. That one is way more expensive. This Paul Smith one is only doubly more expensive than a good winter coat that us proper Northerners get for the winter.
This sounds extremely space intensive. I struggle to cram but a few jackets into a downstairs cupboard. As someone who collects luxury and limited edition jackets and coats it’s too boring for the price.

I just looked at it and agree fully. I know someone who had a Canada Goose coat (same price range), went to the pub, left it over the back of the chair while chatting to someone and it was nicked. Then heard another story similar when telling someone. Cant understand why any ordinary people would spend this obscene amount on something you could get for £50-£100 quid. A coat to keep you dry and warm. The fact the model looks like he’s a school kid wearing a bog standard school coat doesn’t encourage me to spend more than £80 on a coat.

You just aren't buying the same quality for 50-100 quid. Leaving the brand aside it is also about the longevity of the item and the way it makes you feel whenever you put it on. The fact it was stolen, just shows the desirability of the product.I just looked at it and agree fully. Doubtful.
Utd have had a parnership with Paul Smith for years.

Not that he couldn't afford 5 per day.Which means that Amorim/United paid precisely zero quid for that jacket.

And Paul Smith was probably out about 20 quid in manufacturing and shipping costs.
Yes, it is a very nice oneIt's a nice coat isn't it?
I like it. I'd like one actually and to be honest, I have a decent job, earn an ok amount, could afford it, if I was rash, but it's just a coat and to be frank, it is a little on the pricey side.

There's a 10% off deal though if you send Mr Smith your details so he can spam you with more offers of reasonably priced clothing.
I wonder how many United customers, I mean fans, might buy this coat.
