Bhakts will only believe, if it is on swarajyamarg or opindia. The Lutyens media like Indian express and NDTV are just jealous that the PM is not taking them and their families on world tours like what bloody Congis were doing.
Are you saying bhakts will claim that UP police under yogi is anti-national ?

When UP police starts busting fake news then you can imagine the state of the media.

Saharanpur Police refute Amar Ujala report about Tablighi Jamaat members misbehaving with medical staff

The Saharanpur police have put out a statement refuting media reports that members of the Tablighi Jamaat asked for non-vegetarian food and defecated in the open inside a quarantine facility in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur.

The claim appeared on the front page of the national daily Amar Ujala on April 5, 2020. It was also shared on the paper’s official page on Facebook, where it received more than 4,000 likes and shares.

“After Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor, a new case of Jamaatis has also come to light in Saharanpur. When they did not get non-vegetarian food, the Jamaatis here threw away the food and defecated in the open,” claimed the Amar Ujala report. The report cited a similar incident that it alleged had happened at a quarantine facility in Bijnor.

The report cites Sub Divisional Magistrate SN Sharma as the source of the information. “SDM SN Sharma, SMI Irfan Ahmed, along with other police officers, arrived at the facility and pacified the Jamaatis. They were told clearly that only food prescribed by the government will be served. If they repeat their behaviour, strict legal action will be taken.”

A local media outlet, News 1 India, picked up the Saharanpur story and shared it on Twitter, adding that it was mutton biryani that members of the Tablighi Jamaat desired.

The Saharanpur police used its official Twitter account to reply to the tweet with a statement that the claims of the media outlets were investigated and found to be “wrong and untrue”.

In the past few days, there have been similar media reports of members of the Tablighi Jamaat allegedly misbehaving with staff at quarantine facilities in Agra, Kanpur and Ghaziabad as well.

I don't know about other places but the Ghaziabad thing seems to be true. Thats coming from personal sources, unless obviously Doctors themselves are lying. Quite frankly misbehaving is a very polite word for it.

Police will hopefully do their job and arrest these people after they recover.

The biggest problem I see with the situation in India today is that there is no room left for sensible debate. Both Hindus and Muslims have been aggressors in several instances but both group of people completely ignore the wrongs committed by them.

Its quite funny to suggest India gave in as we were already mulling to export to 30 friendly nation as of yesterday. Also the question asked to Trump included the word "retaliation" and it was set as a trap which Trump being Trump fell right into it. But it gave opportunity to people like Swain to bash the government.

Firozabad police refute Zee News claim that medical staff escorting Tablighi Jamaat men was pelted with stones

The Firozabad police have refuted a media report claiming that a medical team escorting coronavirus-positive members of the Tablighi Jamaat was pelted with stones in Uttar Pradesh.

The claim was made in a report by Zee News’ Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand vertical on April 6, 2020. It was also tweeted out and shared on Facebook.

“You are spreading false and misleading news when neither a medical team nor any ambulance has been pelted with stones in Firozabad district,” the Firozabad police tweeted from their official handle. “Delete your tweet immediately.” The report was also shared on Zee News’ Facebook page, where it received more than 5,500 likes and 1,400 shares. The headline of the article on this post hasn’t changed yet.

No way. A good number of my North Indian neighbours rely on Sudhir Chaudhary for their daily "factual" news.

Without getting into how true or not that is, one of the groups of people is the govt and most popular TV channels, which means something.

I said in my earlier post prior to this threat from Trump that Modi was acting like a beggar with that now-famous embrace. India is not living under a colonialist rule anymore. You don't bow down to bullies. Show some pride and confidence without obviously being arrogant.

Mumbai-based computer operator Shamim Sheikh badly needs medicines for her mother, a heart patient with hypertension. But the neighbourhood chemist has run out of them, and this burqa-clad 30-year-old is too scared to venture out of the security of her Muslim neighbourhood, and even more afraid to send her younger brother out. She fears being targeted by public anger against the Tablighi Jamaat.

Ironically, not only is Shamim herself furious with the Tablighi Jamaat for its irresponsibility in hosting a huge gathering at its Delhi headquarters in March, but she does not even consider the sect Muslim, an opinion shared by the country’s majority of Muslims in India belong. Many Muslims avoid them because of their insistence on teaching the community the “correct’’ way to practice Islam.

The Tablighi Jamaat stays away from politics and sees the world through the prism of religion alone. For example, it viewed the Gujarat violence of 2002 as divine punishment for Muslims having strayed from the straight and narrow path. It is this attitude that made their chief, Maulana Saad, scoff at the possibility that the coronavirus could harm the thousands of faithful gathered in Delhi if the audio recording played by many TV channels is genuine.

The guy is also still in hiding, right? What does he have to fear, if every negative occurrence is just divine punishment?

He was obviously talking about others. Something similar to some Christian religious head asking people to suffer because all diseases are a result of their sins, but when they fall ill, they rush to hospitals to get high cost treatments

Things have not really gone out of hand so far thankfully. The new cases everyday are constant at about 500 per day which should be manageable. Let's hope this continues to be the case for the next few days and we are able to isolate the hotspots for the virus within the country and gradually start to open up the regions that are not affected.

Really hope you're right, but I still think we aren't testing enough to be completely optimistic yet.

Kerala and Jharkhand have started phone booth style sample collection centres for faster testing. Copied from South Korea I think.
I would seriously doubt the reporting agency if the per day numbers are not going up.

Anyone else see the similarities with our own home minister? Not even talking about the probable Gujarati origin :D
