Why Deschamps = Deschutes, and Tarantini = Trantini in Enigma list. I don't know.
He's going for the drunk versions? Why Deschamps = Deschutes, and Tarantini = Trantini in Enigma list. I don't know.
I think he's just jealous of my fabolous knowledge of capturing those two. Or want to trap other managers when ctrl + f those two. He's going for the drunk versions?
Hope it caused some more headache. The quality of some of the last picks is great, arguably better than some starters. It's definitely worked in my case mate. I've got to decide between a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, a 5-3-2 and the infamous Magic Square now, with a few different possible line-ups for each
I'm honestly surprised that Clodoaldo didn't go sooner, but oh well, we can now have both play together.Great pick Mazhar/Abri. Can't believe you got to reunite those two.
I don't have an idea. I copied the list before me and I see it's on Pat and Skizzo as well. Why Deschamps = Deschutes, and Tarantini = Trantini in Enigma list. I don't know.
I thought of going for him, but wanted another CB.I'm honestly surprised that Clodoaldo didn't go sooner, but oh well, we can now have both play together.
Lucky bastards.I'm honestly surprised that Clodoaldo didn't go sooner, but oh well, we can now have both play together.
Aye, tbh can't say he is a personal favourite of mine, esp given how he was indirectly linked with Netzer's exclusion (not his fault in any way) but I do appreciate his quality, all-round game-play and versatility. Gives me a decent option and I was surprised that he wasn't picked up yet.I thought he was already picked! Although personally I've never been a fan of his

Yeah, the question is though, to what extent emergency roles count as tournament peaks?Funny enough that's what made me pick his compatriot Schiaffino as my 12th man. He seems to have filled in all over the show as well as excelling in his usual inside forward role:
Insane that he was unpicked. Had there been no WW2 that Argentina side would have won both World Cups in the 40s. At a canter.Triple Copa America winner, 1942 top scorer, Player of the Tournament in 1947, and third highest Copa goalscorer of all time, Jose Manuel Moreno
Might have snapped him up earlier had my fingers not been burnt the last time he got a run out for me.Insane that he was unpicked. Had there been no WW2 that Argentina side would have won both World Cups in the 40s. At a canter.
It was between him and Schiaffino for my 12th pick and I had no particular preference either way. It was actually your match vs Anto that swung me towards Schiaffino, for no other reason than Platini/Moreno having been done before on here.Might have snapped him up earlier had my fingers not been burnt the last time he got a run out for me.
The right call IMO. I wouldn't crowd Platini while Schiaffino would be a wonderful (infinitely better) Bettega as a second striker dropping into wide pockets of space. It was between him and Schiaffino for my 12th pick and I had no particular preference either way. Aye, it would be a recurring issue in a match thread depending on where I played him. I haven't researched it thoroughly yet, but there doesn't seem to have been a drop in performance level across his various positions. If he's versatile enough to hit a high level in different positions in a very restricted time frame (so not an early career Scholes vs late career DLP Scholes situation for instance) then I view it as a positive - I can effectively argue his suitability across several positions and formations. My opponent may see it differently if I play him though .Yeah, the question is though, to what extent emergency roles count as tournament peaks?
It defines Schiaffino indeed. Uruguay never played libero formations, but if I had to play an All Time Uruguay 5-3-2 he would be the only reasonable pick as libero (where he ended playing at the tail-end of his career in Italy and by all accounts was exquisite).
I have no idea what my tactics are either in fairness. It was all so straightforward until my 12th pickThe right call IMO. I wouldn't crowd Platini while Schiaffino would be a wonderful (infinitely better) Bettega as a second striker dropping into wide pockets of space.
No idea what players you have and what your tactics likely are, mind. Just dropping in and out.
Cheers mate. I'll have a read through it when I get a chance@Skizzo this may be pertinent . Nothing too revelatory but a nice interview nonetheless:

Will try to upload his quarter-final performance against Hungary where he had a stormer against Albert, and also Yashin's performance if I get the time.
