No i'd play Henderson or Pope and Harry Maguire. You would play Pickford & Dier over Courtois & Alderweireld?

Would be surprised if he said: "we were absolute shite". Really don't get these interviews, they all say same things. What is the point.Harry Kane thinks we were great.
I can imagine United having another crack in the Summer, and then we'll either get the player (probably paying over the odds) or we'll back out of it and he'll join the list of "nearlies".The price they were asking at this moment in time was ridiculous. Not sure next year will improve financially for clubs either.
Courtois had a phenomenal season in Spain. He carried Real.I wouldn't be starting Pickford, Coutrois has been shite for a couple of years.
Alderweireld? Nope, he's more comparable to Maguire in team status also.
Tielemans or Witsel? Over Rice and Henderson? nope.
Actually for all he said, when the interview was finished he looked really angry.Would be surprised if he said: "we were absolute shite". Really don't get these interviews, they all say same things. What is the point.
Can't be serious.Kane is utter shit for England and has always has been. Will score goals but feels like he plays for a different generation compared to Rashford, Sterling, Greenwood, Grealish, Sancho, Saka and others. He plays a different type of football to them and missed 5 chances today.
I personally dont feel like we should start him and he should be our plan B.
Really?Courtois had a phenomenal season in Spain. He carried Real.
It's also just a case of talk being cheap. It's a box-ticking exercise. Play the game, do the interview, appear in an ad, get the money regardless of winning or losing.Would be surprised if he said: "we were absolute shite". Really don't get these interviews, they all say same things. What is the point.
Of course he is angry, but he is not going to say anything what he really thinks to press people. No one does it, except maybe Jose.Actually for all he said, when the interview was finished he looked really angry.
Clearly a WUM, but I'd suggest looking up his stats from last year.Really?
He's average.
He actually had a really good season. He turned it around after a slow startReally?
He's average.
It’s a bit of a false comparison. Before the Nations League existed competitive games against top nations were a lot rarer. You might get one top side in your qualifying group but outside of that it was tournaments only. England have also favoured ‘elite’ friendlies before the NL started and have been playing top nations more often in recent seasons.Tweet

Cillessen (regular first choice) and Bijlow (young Feyenoord keeper) were injured, so De Boer didn't have much choice (not many Dutch goalkeepers abroad or with experience).Nothing against Krul as he's a good keeper but when was last time Holland started a 2nd tier player out of interest? Did Martins Indi still get called up after Stoke went down.
Yes, replaced friendlies with this - with promotion and relegation, and linked to qualification to EurosI still haven't figured out what nations league is. Is it just the friendlies but in a tournament or something?
I think that's more a case of keeping the egos in the dressing room on-side.As predicted, Southgate thought we were excellent.
And I wouldn't surprise me if the FA also thought Southgate was excellent. As predicted, Southgate thought we were excellent.
Yeah I forgot it was just group winners that qualify. I'd lost interest in the rules and following the group ages ago, just been paying attention to England's performances more than anything. How does that matter? England are 5 points behind Belgium?
Not a WUM, he was shocking when he first went to Madrid and was getting dropped.Clearly a WUM, but I'd suggest looking up his stats from last year.
Fair play, still doesn't convince me.He actually had a really good season. He turned it around after a slow start
Cheers but we are in the Euros even though we finished third now because we won the last one?Yes, replaced friendlies with this - with promotion and relegation, and linked to qualification to Euros
Not friendlies. Only reason Iceland had a shot at the Euros a few days ago was because of the Nation's League. Also the reason Scotland, North-Macedonia and Slovakia qualified.I still haven't figured out what nations league is. Is it just the friendlies but in a tournament or something?
Whilst it was one of the most enjoyable world cups in years being an England fan, we were so bloody lucky to get to the semis. Lost to each decent team we played: Belgium twice and Croatia, deservedly so.Bar the WC semi run, which had its fair share of luck, Englands record is very average under Southgate. Lost 10 games, already.
So what happens now that we finished third? Not friendlies. Only reason Iceland had a shot at the Euros a few days ago was because of the Nation's League. Also the reason Scotland, North-Macedonia and Slovakia qualified.
They're competitive matches that replaced friendlies and your matched with team closer to your strength so no hastle of having to arrange matches. It's another trophy for players to win. People like winning trophies.
Nothing really I think. No playoff and no relegation. Second or third is no difference I think. So what happens now that we finished third?

Maybe it gives better ranking points though, but I am not sure.
