He has lovely balance. Januzaj needs to get back to that.

He grew into the game and played some nice stuff in a more traditional #10 role. If he starts to add consistent end product he'll make Villa a nice wedge in a couple of years.

Amazing how much this country hypes up their talents. One decent game and he's a super kid already. He looks mediocre at best.

Couldn't give a shit if he declares for Ireland but he could be playing in a United one. He is an exciting talent.

He has been talked about for quite some time now and he looks far from mediocre.

The reason why he has been talked up a lot is because he has been playing for Ireland u21 and u19's

But good chance now he will hold on for an England call up

He's a kid who was outstanding last week in a Wembley semi-final against a much better side. He looked calm, assured and wanted the ball. All good signs for a young lad.

Looks a very good talent on limited viewing - strong, confident and skilful. Can't see how any of the opinions are unreasonable. Might not end up being the real deal but all great players start somewhere.

You're right in some respects (not about him being mediocre) -- but the funy thing is that in order to balance the hype many people revert to the opposite end (overly cynical, without any real foundation), which is essentially what you've done in that post. He isn't Messi, but he isn't shite. There is an in-between.

Martin O Neill should just name in the squad for the next game.

If he shows up, great for Ireland...If not, great for England!

I'm Irish and can personally not give a shit

Until the last 2 games I wondered what the fuss was about. Very impressive again, created 3 good oppertunities against City whilst having over 90% accuracy with his passes. 7 dribbles too.

Good technique, vision and can go past players

Saw him a couple of times, looks very promising but there were a lot of players who looked very promising and turned to shit. It is a job for our scouts to find out if he is real deal or not. Or just send SAF if he see Ronaldo in him;)

Do you have how much ground he covered stats?

This.

Has some talent and doesn't just run around.

Because of this he'll be considered the next Zidane when really he's just average at best.
You must think the same about Januzaj then.

Seems there's no point bothering with promoting young players in your book.

No idea where you got this from.
You suggesting that he's "average at best" after a handful of games.

All top players start somewhere. They rarely burst onto the scene and become those great players straight away. Most look decent in some games and average others - all part of learning the game.

he'd be a perfect upgrade on Fellaini. Plays in the same position but in a completely different way.

Upgrade? He'd not get into our team ahead of Fellaini.
Lad has talent but needs a lot more development in his game to be able to break into a top level team. We have Adnan struggling to get gametime & he has played at a way higher level than Grealish has shown thus far.

Sorry long term upgrade. I still would take a punt on him, you just know his price is going to be insane going forwards. Adnan plays more like a 10 when he has played centrally, this kid looks like a proper attacking midfielder who can contribute to the midfield and operate in the hole.

Early days but he's looked a class above against two of the slickest passing outfits in England. I'd like to see him against a Chelsea where he gets man marked to see if he can handle that.

Broke young James McCarthy's ankles yesterday. You can't see it in the video but he was laughing his ass off after when he passed it away. McCarthy then went and pushed him when he got the ball again and Jack was still laughing.

Just saw the Villa game. Looks really good and confident on the ball. Intelligent player; capable of weaving his way through tight spaces. He's the sort of player we should be looking at the help our passing tempo and penetration in the final third.

He seems to be what people thought Cleverley might become
Cleverley never had the one important thing this kid has and that is the ability to beat a defender with the ball at his feet. Clev was never one for going on mazy dribbling runs, this kid can do that as well as pass and move. Quite different players really.
