Assist off the bat after 7 minutes on the pitch.

He'll go to Dortmund and be quality.

Everything about his time here was handled wrong, partly himself but Ole did that slow integration thing which never works with players and then he's had to sit and watch Martial, Antony etc start and be absolutely awful.

Simply too technically good a player for the Hollywood passing, punt it style we've had for a long time

Having watched this game, the difference in intensity between Bundesliga and PL is staggering. No wonder Sancho feels more comfortable here.

It's got jack all to do with Sancho being good and all to do with the absolute dire state of defences in the Bundesliga. Sancho looks good with lots of space. He looks terrible against low blocks. It's as simple as that.

Seriously this myth of him being a world beater at Dortmund needs to die. Go to YouTube and type in his goals and assists in the Bundesliga in 20/21. The vast majority of his goals were in amounts of space that simply does not exist in the PL, La Liga and Serie A.

And this is why he was able to stat pad in the first place. Look at the goal, a high line, 3 man defence, no one around him and a non existent midfield.

Is it a tactical choice, or a lack of tactics? Matches in the Championship have a more coherent defence than that.
Hopefully he will have 20+ assists and 10+ goals so we can sell him off for some decent money.

Its a small team from a small city that translates to "colon city".
Oh and it has a district named "Wixhausen" which could roughly be translated to "jerk home".

And their team is even worse than their citys name.
Haha nice. The place looks nice on Google maps!

good stuff. The Darmstadt’s and Braunschweig’s of the world will get us a half decent fee if he carries on like this

This is said as if every attacker is raking in silly numbers. Context is important today, the team they played are bottom of the league and we're 1-0 days, understandably chasing for an equalise, thus leaving gaps at the back.

The Bundesliga is a weaker more open league but I didn't watch today thinking Sheffield United, Burnley or Luton would comfortably beat these.

The place is fine. Usually you have one of the best weather in Germany. It is about 20 minutes to Frankfurt and the airport in Frankfurt. 3 hours to go to the Swiss by car - 2 hours to France.

Sancho is off form - but it was easier for him to come in when the opponent already was tired. It is the first match after the winter break and I have seen at the Bayern match yesterday that the players still were a little off pace. The top speeds of the teams seem to have been 2 km/h lower than they were 4 weeks ago.

Thought he did well considering it's his first appearance in months and he's only trained once or twice with teammates but he did look rusty. Playing the team bottom of the Bundesliga too. Obviously a positive start for him but wouldn't get carried away with a good performance against a team like Sheffield United either. More interested to see how he does against the better teams in the Bundesliga and in the CL. PSV is surely a winnable tie for Dortmund so he might even play against one of the top sides.

Does anyone really give a toss what he does at Dortmund after we've already seen what he's capable of at United?

he's been absent for so long yet he's still fit enough to toy with this league for the rest of the season. I can see something like 10 assists and about 6 or 7 goals if he stays fit.

Then why was he able to score and assist against the likes of Inter and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League?

I dont buy that. Players consistently come to us and go from very talented to utter shite.

Yeah I think it’s a team issue more than a league issue. Haaland does the same thing in the PL as he did in Bundesliga, if not better. Same with Bellingham, who is better in La Liga. Because they play in high functioning teams that suit them. Sancho hasn’t had that here. If he’d gone back to City I’m sure he’d be doing well, getting plenty of space in the half spaces and lots of runners. Or even somewhere like Brighton, he’d be doing well.

On Bellingham, in before someone points out comical level of La Liga defenders compared to incredibly amazing standard of Premier League where prime Nesta and Maldini wouldn’t even make the squad for most of the teams.

That's how Newcastle lined up against Dortmund that made them lose home and away
