Never Say Never Again is on ITV now, Connery in a bad remake of Thunderball, it is still better than Moonraker, the women who plays Fatima Blush is just dreadful, her best acting was the part when she get blown up.

Yeah that was a weird one. The guy who co-wrote Thunderball basically had the rights to make Thunderball, but only Thunderball, and so attempted to do so repeatedly. He tried to make another in the 90s with Timothy Dalton. Let it go man, let it go.

Though tbf Bond films are largely so identikit I doubt anyone would've really noticed 3 versions of the same one anyway.

I did not know that, I have to disagree about generic Bonds, most people identify with a particular Bond, for me it was Connery and Moore.
I will watch all the Bonds, Iam just a Bond fan, but I can still see that quite a few of them are just dreadful.

That interview was horrendous, but comeon, did anyone ever think Sean was a good bloke.
Craig's also doing the art imitating life if those juicy rumours about him banging Sienna Miller when she was dating Jude Law are true.

You are right, I have read thinks about him that don't paint him in a very good light, but has Bond there is nobody to touch him.

Casino Royale is the only one that is fresh in the memory for me. What a big overrated bore that film is. Too long, too bland, no intrigue, no tension, with the charm of a car commercial.

Interesting Connery fact. He wore a wig in all of his Bond films. He started balding at 30. Even the early ones he's rugged.

Tomorrow Never Dies is on. Two things already.

- Gerard Butler played a random crew member on the submarine at the start, he had one line and it was amazingly Scottish.
- The UK Government just decided to send their fleet to attack China purely based on a random newspaper that said Chinese ammunition killed their men.

Genuinely the worst film plot ever. A feckin newspaper that murdered hundreds of people and set the world on the brink of world war 3 (outsmarting two of the most savvy nations on the planet) all so it could sell more newspapers; which you know, always record record high number of sales during nuclear apocalypses. How it ever got the greenlight is beyond me.

Gerard Butler is an awful actor
His smug expression does nothing to help his cause with me. Which I'm sure is upsetting him as we type

The bad guys are gradually getting more and more smalltime.

In the past you'd have them wanting to take over Earth or literally invading the moon. Then they downgraded to wanting to start wars or make money.

The last one wanted to kill one miserable old woman for no reason, and the one before that wanted to control a percentage of the water supply to Bolivia.

I mean, was it really worth blowing up half of Scotland/London in order to prevent the death of some retiring old lady who ended up dying anyway?

Next it'll be Bond hunting down some gang who attempted an armed robbery of a shop...then some guy who sent a nasty message to someone on twitter.

Old post I know but I didn't think that one was too bad. I actually enjoyed it. On Her Majesty's Secret Service was by far the worst one for me. It was so incredibly boring.
thought View to a Kill was terrible.
It's Die Another Day by a country mile.
On her Majesty's secret service, View to kill and Die another day are all good shouts for worst one (even though I have a soft spot for a View to kill, not sure why).

Moonraker is still shit though!

I definitely have a soft spot for view to a kill, mainly because I saw it in the cinema for my 6th birthday. But yeah, its not great.

OHMSS is a weird one. Top theme tune, top bond girl, top baddy - but awful bond and terrible action scenes.

This ones a throwback, The World Is Not Enough on TV now. Denise Richards in a crop top & shorts.. remember her? Robert Carlyle & Robbie Coltraine as balkan villains. Gadget galore in this one too. X-ray glasses & an exclusive watch that fires out a zip wire that launches you & your entire body weight 50ft in the air! Amazing.
