He's there lone strikers why wouldn't they bet set up to play to his strengths? It's an often thrown around reasoning when less prestigious strikers do well to explain away contributions but it doesn't make much sense to me.

They play through Vardy and Mahrez as Everton do Lukaku and Barkley. Most clubs set up to suit their attackers in such a way (expect us arguably).
I don't disagree with your post, of course Leicester should and do play to their strengths.

All I'm saying is that I don't think Vardy would be as successful if we were to sign him, for example. We just don't play anywhere near the style Leicester do. He's constantly on the shoulder of the last defender, looking to run in behind with his incredible speed and the whole Leicester game is built to provide him with the ammunition to run onto. In the same way Chicharito didn't suit our style of play, I don't think Vardy would be much use here. He has it perfect at Leicester as the big fish in a small pond. Moving would make no sense.

Mahrez seems like a more adaptable player and does more on and off the ball, hence I'd expect him to make a bigger impact at a bigger team.

Shush, we're not allowed the talk about that until England get dumped out of the Euros and the media love-in ends.
I agree with you. It should be talked about all the time. In any discussion of Leicester City or Jamie Vardy it must be mentioned that he behaved like a dick in a casino one time. In fact, posters or journalists who don't mention the fact that Jamie Vardy once behaved like a dick in a casino should be castigated by other posters or journalists and it should be implied that they are dicks or racists, too, and they should be investigated for harbouring racist views. And the person who mentions that Jamie Vardy once behaved like a dick in a casino or who castigates posters or journalists for not mentioning the fact that Jamie Vardy was once a dick in a casino should give themselves a pat on the back for making this forum and by extension the world a less dickish and racist place. And I'll certainly be checking this thread every day to ensure that mentioned on every page at least once is the fact that Jamie Vardy once behaved like a dick in a casino.

Well, we can't really complain since his recent injury record is pretty good, especially by our standards. Since November 2012, he's only had three injuries, and only one of those kept him out for two weeks.

Nice to see an opposition player acknowledge what everyone else is finally starting to catch on to. When you watch Smalling every week like we do, it's in no way a surprise to hear.

The guys operating off insane levels of confidence right now, that's priceless in a striker. Noticed second half against palace he got the ball in their half on his own, facing no option but a 40 yard run on goal, 5 Palace players closer to him than any team mate and he just bombed on and nearly got the goal. Be madness for Vardy to be sat at home this summer while Sturridge air guitars that body popping celebration in the hotel room the night before games.

As much as his little rat features annoy me, he has to be admired for the way he got his chance and took it! Bit of a fairy tale.

That'll be good for us, you'd think a Vardyless Leicester will be a touch easier.

But total bugger for Leicester, especially since there was no contact in his first yellow which led to all this! I'd not be happy.

Don't know how they can ban him and not every other player caught swearing at the ref. Or in Joe Hart's case going head to head with him.

Does that mean he'll miss the game against us?

TBF, they probably just nicked it themselves - possibly from whoever you got it from. :smirk:
It's a pretty obvious joke, I'd be surprised if I was the first one to make it. Haven't really seen it or got it from anywhere though. No idea what the Fiver is.

Deserves the ban.

What will Leicester do without him? It feels like they should try and stick with the goal of having some pace up front rather than being left with a lumbering target man like Ulloa, which would surely limit their counter attacks.

Maybe you could play Ulloa alongside someone like Demari Gray. Or perhaps Mahrez gets pushed up front?
