This has been his worst ever time as manager. Didnt even get the initial sucess

But crazy to do it before the final.

I would laugh but frankly the ESL news has rattled me so much that my bitterness for Jose has all but gone.

This is a pure deflection tactic. Regardless of the job he's done, you'd be mad to think otherwise.

Odd to do this a week before the cup final. Who will lead the team for that?!
Maybe the positive boost they'll get (depending on the interim) will catapult them to Cup Final glory.

Absolutely mad week in football

Wowzers! Didn't even let him take the cup final? Something must have gone down very badly behind the scenes.

Calculated risk by Levy to do it the week of a Cup final

Weird timing before a final. City looked shit at the weekend who knows he might have pulled off a masterclass. What are they hoping for? A reaction or bounce before it? I don’t see it.

I’d love Jose to triple down on having took a stand against the Super League. Here’s a chance to re-market yourself!

Why now? The Everton draw was 3 days ago. Are they hoping for a new manager bounce for the final?

What insane timing from the club. Fully expected him sacked in the summer and would have been fine with that but to do it now of all times - last night super league announcement and now sacking the manager on the week of a final. Absolutely bonkers.

feck off - 6 days before HIS final. Incredible.

This all feels like the end-of-days for football.
