"I said after the first challenge, I don't know who did it, a sliding tackle from six/seven yards, getting the ball, everybody likes it, I said to the ref 'it's no foul but please tell them you cannot do that'.

It wasn’t a foul. Boohoo

Is he really advocating no slide tackles?

Every manager would advocate the other team not being allowed to slide tackle. He'll love it when one of his players does a crunching tackle and gees-up the crowd.

Wasn't he complaining about the ref not letting the game run against PSG?

it makes sense to be seen to stick up for his players, even if he is full of shit

Fergie did the same

I'm all for him sticking up for our players but this is a weird thing to get annoyed about - especially if you consider he has encouraged the crowd at Anfield multiple times when for example Milner came flying into a (dangerous but correct) challenge.

It's one of the things I love about English football and I really hope it doesn't change.

Another Klopp discussion on RedCafe. Fantastic.

As others have mentioned he’s just sticking up for his players. And I doubt he gives a shit if rival fans think of him as hypocritical.

I think you will find that there are 20 managers in the Premier League and that 20 of them are hypocrites.

The situation isn't exactly helped either when you have inconsistencies in refereeing. Some refs like to make the game flow and others don't, which is really irritating from a fans point of view so it must be really annoying for players/managers.

What is the point of this thread
Every manager in this league is a dick or a hypocrite to some extent. You don’t get as far as they do without having to sound like a twat sometimes. I’m sure most of us have done the same thing where we’re well aware of what we’re doing and know it’s necessary to come across like that. It’s not really a point that warrants discussion.

It’s not so much as mr teeth whitener but more about is he right?

Secondly, it’s more in his quote “it’s not a foul but I asked him to make them stop” which I found funny. It’s like a boxer trainer saying “ask him to stop doing uppercuts”

They are really hurting my guy..
Would love to see it.

From someone who does moderation to another, don't you sometimes have problems too? There are days when I'm staring at a post and it's 50-50 and I know that I could well go the other way if it was a different day. I think that's how inconsistency comes about, because if one person can go in two ways depending on what they're thinking at that moment, what more two different people?

Can they tackle mourinho instead?

Klopp can't get over the fact some clubs don't play the way he wants them to.

Can't wait for Fellaini to pull Salah's hair like he did yesterday with Guendouzi when we play Liverpool . I know its wrong to say that but seriously the victim treatment from Klopp and liverpool fans will be insane and quite amusing like it happened with Ramos . They will probably sue Fellaini and file a complaint at the Hague especially if we defeat them .

Apologies to anyone offended with the hair pull suggestion I just posted it for fun .

Oppositions shouldn't tackle his players, also they should open their defenses and don't try much againa them as he asked earlier. Basically we should give him the league trophy now.

His quotes are very embarrassing.

Is there limit when it comes to bullshit managers spout in general these days, not saying X years ago was much better in that regard but at least i had a feeling there was at least one principle, now being hypocrite in space of 2 days is nothing.

Not by saying this shite like how the teams should play against us. Klopp doesn't want the opponent to try against his team and he said it twice already. I don't remember Fergie saying similar shite things about how the opponent should play.

Klopp gets way more attention on here than he does on liverpool forums.

Fergie used to complain about teams raising their game against united but not spout nonsense like this

This is well established as true, as many players from lower leagues have admitted as such. Due to the reach of the United Academy in this country minnows in fact game raise against United due to previous history with us. They are trying to prove a point that letting them go was a mistake. Not to mention that we are the biggest club in the country, many lesser players consider playing at OT a once in a lifetime chance.

What Klopp said is basically telling other teams to pull their punches. The exact opposite of SAF who welcomed the challenge of thrashing lower level teams.

I assume you'd make the same comment on Liverpool forums if your own fans were criticising a rival manager?

I don’t post on Liverpool forums they’re all utter turd. I’d likely not care enough to post on pep/Jose calling out another teams fouling, it’s pretty trivial. If it was a bigger issue can understand.

So they're allowed to kit seven shades of shite out off PSG players but no one is allowed to tackle them?

Probably. His whinging and hypocrisy are tiresome. It's funny how the defense is that we should ignore it because "all other managers whine and are hypocrites" even though I've seen no evidence that any managers, bar Mourinho, whine as much as Klopp.

Unfortunately it already has changed and will continue to do so as long as players doing themselves to the ground every 5 minutes.

I wouldn't disagree. But it would also make me think that referees should be reviewed more meticulously in terms of their performances and consistencies. Of course we all have biases that although in terms of refereeing it shouldn't happen, it may seep through over what the law states is a foul/isn't a foul.

I was moaning a bit last night about how Newcastle were crunching/fouling our players at every opportunity, but on the other hand i do enjoy a physical game and don't want to wrap players up in cotton wool. Again though, Klopp is right in that according to the rules now you'd be expected to be reprimanded for crunching tackles/'dangerous' tackles, even if they're fair.

Klopp sticking up for his players in a shocker. Another Klopp thread shocker

Some fans are obsessed and given our situation small things like this will make them feel better . I couldn't care less about Jurgen Klopp and his antics
