Getting withdrawal symptoms from this hope we dont have to wait 2 years for the next series one of my favourite shows

Theory re Dot's code

anyone else think he was trying to spell out a name isnt that what Morse code is usually for to spell things if he wanted to indicate a number surely he holds up that number of fingers? [/ spoiler]

Theory re possible bent people
I think both the grey haired lady and Asian guy at the end are dodgy, she was very quick to close the case when they cleared Hastings, surely they'd want a full review into what went wrong?[/ spoiler]

Just watched the final episode. Enjoyed it but left a bit deflated by the 'morse code' nonsense at the end. Seems a huge stretch. Also feel like large parts of that evidence aren't going to be addressed. Porn on the laptop, please

Just finished it.

Enjoying it very much. The morse was a bit odd, didnt think they needed that bit, could have just ended it there

Anywhere to watch the final 5th season? Netflix only show the first 4 and it doesn’t seem to be available on BBC I-Player

Line of Duty bingo.
Just finished watching all five series back to back, some of the best TV I have seen for years - this bingo however needs an extra box for "bent bastard!"

Seems to be going off the boil so hopefully this season is good. Last one was pretty crap.

It's always bugged me how crap the two leads are. Very little screen presence and generally middling acting.

Him and her. Not the auld fella.
I don't think I can agree with you on McClure at all.... I mean, she might be getting a bit bored of this now, but it's her money role at the moment, but not to a point where she's dragging it down by any means really. Compston, maybe, but not for me, I mean it has become a bit wild on the script side, so you kinda have to start taking the show as a whole with a pinch of salt.... still good fun, until it isn't and let's hope that isn't the new series.

I don't even know what his name is but he has the same face for every scene and his squeaky voice is very off-putting. She is just not much of an actress.

I always felt like the female lead role had the right to be played by an actress at least on rank her superior. The lad is at least a bit better.

Ooh can't wait for this to start!

Looks like Steve and Kate are in trouble this time?

I've been watching the other show that's currently on the BBC by the same person as Line of Duty, about the IRA and while its good it's not in the same league as Line of Duty yet.

Bloodlands with James Nesbitt? Yeah it may well turn out to be up there.

That's the one- it's not yet at the point where you go oh my God at the end of an episode like you often would Line of Duty- I'd expect it to still be good though. I'm not saying it was bad just not as good/ shocking as Line of Duty or Bodyguard but that may change- on again tonight, 9pm

Is it just me who thinks that if any of the three main characters are bent, it will demean the whole series? Jed Mercurio doesn't need to stoop to shock value purely for dramatic effect.

For you guys watching Bloodlands what an ending that was never in a million years seen that coming, one of the best twists in TV history.

Just had to get that off my chest, don’t know what’s going on now can’t wait until next week.

Agree with that. It will definitely diminish the overall quality of the show.

H will definitely be Hastings he give the woman 50k at the end of the last season, I’ll be disappointed if it’s not him tbh, he’s the strongest character and to bring in a new person to be H at this point would be silly.

They basically wasted an entire series pretending Ted was. Don’t know why they can’t just concentrate on a single case each season. The whole wider conspiracy had a natural end in season 3.

Why did he give the woman 50k then, he’s a ‘bent copper’..
Out of guilt because he was in part responsible for the death of John Corbett.

It has to be someone who we've seen before. It'd be stupid to bring someone new in as the big bad.

Out of the 3 of the main characters, I think it's most likely to be Kate who's bent. More likely is someone like Iain Buckles.

Feel like it jumped the shark in the last series but will still watch to see if they can bring it back.

The whole Hastings red herring was so bad. As was the whole series 5 arc really with the constant twists for the sake of twists. The stuff with Dot communicating with morse code

It was daft how terrible Hastings was under interview. You'd think he'd have been able to boss his inquisitors but he was rubbish. Just not believable.

Christ that was so bad, they literally changed the video to fit that in as well.

I do love Ted still. And he is not bent. The other two being involved would just be dumb, so will probably happen.
