Was just saying this to a sibling. The DNA reveal with her being a relative of Tommy Hunter would've been much better if I could remember who Tommy Hunter was and if it actually turned out to have anything to do with the plot after such a massive cliffhanger last week. Them trying to tie in so much from previous seasons is just making the whole thing such a mess.
so true. It went absolutely nowhere. The DNA reveal with her being a relative of Tommy Hunter would've been much better if I could remember who Tommy Hunter was and if it actually turned out to have anything to do with the plot after such a massive cliffhanger last week. Agreed. I only vaguely remember what happened last week let alone several series ago. Its been a good watch but I hope it ends after this series. The DNA reveal with her being a relative of Tommy Hunter would've been much better if I could remember who Tommy Hunter was and if it actually turned out to have anything to do with the plot after such a massive cliffhanger last week. It'll make for a good binge watch though! The DNA reveal with her being a relative of Tommy Hunter would've been much better if I could remember who Tommy Hunter was and if it actually turned out to have anything to do with the plot after such a massive cliffhanger last week. Christopher Alder too.Aside from never remembering who half the characters we’re supposed to remember are, I see we’ve now added Stephen Lawrence to the fictionalised real cases dragged into the giant hodgepodge of this one never ending corruption investigation... erm... yay?
Also, has Martin Compston been doing a David Beckham impression this whole time?
I don’t think he’s doing an impression of him, Elvis.
he’s a secret reveal (I assume). Prob did some filming at the same time as Badlands. It’s becoming quite distracting all the “real” stuff... it feels a bit mucky in a way, and then makes the more dramatic stuff seem silly.
Also, what previous season was Carmichael in? And Jimmy Nesbit wasn’t in it before, was he? I’d have remembered that, surely? (I’m pretty sure he wasn’t, as they obviously had to badly photoshop his hair onto that picture, to maintain hairline continuity)
So annoying! Why, in the feck, did they play that promo at the start of the season showing every character who is alive under a helicopter spotlight?
Fantastic tension..
They could do what MCU did with Infinity War and show stuff in the promo that was never a part of the actual movie.Yeah that’s was so stupid, we basically know Kate isn’t dead because of the footage of her in the promo hasn’t been seen yet so must be next week’s episode.
Oh ffs. Maybe some of us hadn't seen the promo.....Yeah that’s was so stupid, we basically know Kate isn’t dead because of the footage of her in the promo hasn’t been seen yet so must be next week’s episode.
I know, what a shit post to readOh ffs. Maybe some of us hadn't seen the promo.....
It's a bit shit, but Kate is obviously not going to die. It's not like this is early GoT where major characters might actually die.I know, what a shit post to read
I suppose but she could have been hurt or something maybe, now I’ve got visions of her running around saving the day again in the next episode. It's a bit shit, but Kate is obviously not going to die. It's not like this is early GoT where major characters might actually die.
Don't worry it's already been said in the threadI’d never watched Line of Duty till about 3 weeks ago. I started from the beginning and glad I did - it’s all fresh in my memory (fresh-ish anyway). That has helped my enjoyment a lot - as most of the call backs have been memorable enough.
I saw a trailer last night from March which shows one of the 2 last night standing alongside Davidson, but won’t say which.
Just wanted to be sure - looks like it was said just a few posts above mine too!Don't worry it's already been said in the thread
It was morse code that led them to the name "H", 4 dots = H. That’s what they originally thought, then figured he might have meant 4, as in 4 corrupt officers /See I still wonder if Dot was using the Morse code to tap out a name in his dying declaration.
You use morse code to send signals don't you, the whole point is to spell a word eg SOS. Obviously he couldn't speak as he was dying, so what if he tried to use morse code to spell a name, but died before he could finish? I don't think they've ever considered this possibility. I don't know morse code, but if he was using it to do that, what letters had he got out?
Also re the trailer, it seems such a disappointment it gives away probably one of the biggest cliff hangers they've done. I almost hope it's a double bluff, they could still have filmed all that scene with the helicopter etc but for the purposes of the trailer, just changed who was stood in the light. Wouldn't have cost any extra, you'd still have Ted asking them to surrender as part of the main series, they've just filmed 2 shots of people stood in the searchlight and switched them for them purposes of the show and trailer. It just seems too loose to effectively give away such a big ending...
One of the best endings to an episode (bar the trailer potentially spoiling it) however "urgent exit required" is still one of the best endings to an episode I've seen on TV.
I hope Ryan doesn't die, he's acted so well and is so chilling in his scenes, that death stare he does! He is so much more compelling than Jo, I'd like to see more of what he gets up to. I have a hunch Jo killed Vela, unless Ryan did. Ryan putting the gun to the back of her head could be him saying I know what you did, I'm OCG too but could easily name you as the killer
I thought the way Steve told Kate about it, all the pieces had fallen into place for him. Ted had been desperate to crack the case and was using the chat room to talk to the OCG and he either accidentally or trying to be too smart let it slip that there was a rat in the OCG and this lead to them figuring out and killing Corbett. So did they confirm Hastings essentially had Corbett murdered?
Even if they've never seen the show?https://www.joe.ie/movies-tv/the-hardest-line-of-duty-quiz-youll-ever-take-692344
I am smug and got 26/27 Only got wrong the one about what they changed the evidence reference to
If anyone gets the end of the infamous text message question wrong, I think that warrants a reg 15 :O
Should be a cracking episode tonight.
