Possibly playing the best football of his career at the moment. I've been hugely impressed. He's got a bit of swagger to his game at the moment, and two things are now becoming clear:
- He might be very useful for us next season. His movement was always the best and most consistent part of his game and its something we lack in the final third. The question is of course whether he is able to replicate this form in a United shirt again. I'm doubtful about that. Sometimes its just best for both parties to go another route, however he might be simply seeing this as a chance to impress the club and wants nothing more than to come back. Failing that......
- If he does go, then he will surely have more suitors than simply West Ham. I was always telling my Spurs friends that they missed a trick letting Lingard and Odegaard go to other clubs. Lingard suddenly looks like a very attractive potential signings for a lot of PL clubs. England Int'l, fairly high profile and he currently looks like a bloody good player still in his peak years. This £20m number is commonly mentioned in the press and on here, but this is looking more and more like a standard United 'give a player away for peanuts for no reason' price. We are talking about a player that has raised a decent West Ham side to one that looks like they might even get CL football. He has 'Bruno'ed' that team. £20m suddenly looks like the bargain of the summer. We should be looking for close to double that IMO
