I think they should have to fight Roy Hodgson and his boy Sammy Lee for the job.Jamie Redknapp and his dad would make a good manager team.

You must be devastated about what's happening at your club.Damn we're not that desperate!
I wouldn't be entirely amazed to find Steven Gerrard being asked to consider backing out of LA to "save the club" all romantic and heroic-like, but he'd have to be batshitcrazy.Dreams, my friend. Dreams...
might be Rodgers last chance at the Boston meeting. worth a shotI wouldn't be entirely amazed to find Steven Gerrard being asked to consider backing out of LA to "save the club" all romantic and heroic-like, but he'd have to be batshitcrazy.
I'm at least 150% sure Rodgers is gone though. He has to be. There's just no coming back from that. An honourable man - good luck finding one in football - would have quit after that. Resignation or seppuku*, anyway.
*No. Not bukkake.
So to speak.worth a shot
Well.. pretty much all they got this season is a load to the face, so there you go.*No. Not bukkake.
I was expecting 4th or 5th at the start of the season, with 5th being the more realistic and 4th being, realistically, the best we could do.You must be devastated about what's happening at your club.
You seem to be taking it well.
OR... are you our johnnowhite?
When does any manager ever resign in football?I wouldn't be entirely amazed to find Steven Gerrard being asked to consider backing out of LA to "save the club" all romantic and heroic-like, but he'd have to be batshitcrazy.

Deary me... Maybe I'm not as into football as other people, but ffs. A loss to Stoke isn't reason for an emotional breakdownLad crying on Talksport now.
Was it Brenton?Lad crying on Talksport now.
Actually crying or just making a huge fuss.Lad crying on Talksport now.
Nah just worked himself up a little too much, just needs a nap and he'll be fine...Actually crying or just making a huge fuss.
You just had to bring Spurs into it, didn't you?Only if Villa win the FA Cup final: If Villa win they go straight into the group stages and Liverpool start from 3rd qualifying round. Spurs start in group stages regardless.
Balotelli, Lambert & Sturridge goals this season: 7
Stoke City goals vs Liverpool today: 6
If i got a pound for everytime i heard that..Just seen Stoke's goals, the Scousers are in serious trouble. That's a club falling into a crisis, almost entirely of its own making.
Funnily enough, someone called Klopp did, didn't he? More or less. When does any manager ever resign in football?
Agree with some of your sentiments but my issue with the Scousers here has been going on a few months. If i got a pound for everytime i heard that..
Nothing new here Phil. One season of doin better & all the scousers are on the "next year is our year" delusional bandwagon.
This time is somewhat different though, so that's what i think you're referring to?
Gerrards gone (low point for the fans). Sterling's situation is causing serious negativity. Rodgers is Rodgers (no need to elaborate). The fans must still feel like shit after blowing the league last season. The team has been in total disarray most of this season & thats after spunkin millions on duff players that will never be good enough & Coutinho (their best player by a country mile) will maybe want out - much like Sterling does.
I'm f*cking delighted & long may it continue. F*ck them & their seemingly hating United more than they love Liverpool mentality..
I think you agreed with most of my sentiments tbh manAgree with some of your sentiments but my issue with the Scousers here has been going on a few months.
Back in February I saw them play Besiktas away; wrote next day about them being a pretty shoddy team and was slated by Barney Rubble and the rest of the Scouses here. They actually believed that side was going places after they beat City but they couldn't see their deeper problems. Then they got hit by us and have slipped ever since.
Their biggest problems this season have been Slippy's permanent leaving ceremony season, Rodgers crazy statement, Sterling's contract, and the failure of the new signings. I got slated for saying this by these Scouses.
Now they have let in 10 goals and scored 3 in three games. To my mind that harks back to the Besiktas game when they looked like dross. The goals today exposed their defence as amateurish. For Rodgers to mention his job being on the line after that defeat, signposts a team in crisis with deeper problems than just that defeat.

I think Rodgers hoped to build a new team around Slippy but never envisaged how things turned out. Their season started with the CL, then shifted to Europa, and then the FA cup but really it became one long testimonial of last games for Slippy. It was high risk and Slippy showed just how weak he was alone to carry the burden of two seasons running.I think you agreed with most of my sentiments tbh man
No-one wants to believe that their team is on a massive slide, but you've gotta be realistic & not follow the club with blind faith & accepting no plausible / constructive criticism by opposition fans, or even your own fellow fans for that matter.
There's many on here that do that aswell & continue to think we're only a few signings away from winning the league .
I dont want to get into that. I just want to dwell on how Harry Kewell is not a prophet: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/columnists/article-229604/Harry-tips-Fergie-suffer-downturn.html
That's a can of worms right there PhilI think Rodgers hoped to build a new team around Slippy but never envisaged how things turned out. We had a high risk strategy of splashing out and building around Rooney. TBH we scraped together what was needed but most of the season we've been poor to average. Both clubs need to do rapid building during the summer but they will be without Slippy, while we will still have Rooney. To early to judge but I wonder if we don't fall into the trap of over burdening a single player.
I don't think it's down to a few signings, we need a complete overhaul and a reconfiguration of the squad.
Same scenario as Ronnie; when most, if not all fans hated him & called him a c*nt. Our reply was "think that if you like, but he's our c*nt.."He might be an absolute bastard but these last two seasons have shown that Suarez is an invaluable bastard.
Modern football and all this about playing the ball from the back.If Emre Can had stayed in Leverkusen this season, I'd bet his name would've come up at least once, in our conversations about Van Gaal wanting a new number 6 or number 8 midfielder. He was pretty good in the Bundesliga playing in midfield.
Quite why he is turning up at right back only Rodgers knows.
I remember back then around the time you are referring to, these same Scousers were trying to convince us that Sakho was a talented defensive beast..I've still yet to see this...Agree with some of your sentiments but my issue with the Scousers here has been going on a few months.

Might be his tendency of playing German with turkish roots out of position. Still remember the disaster of him playing the deep lying midfielder Sahin in the offensive midfield or even on the wing.If Emre Can had stayed in Leverkusen this season, I'd bet his name would've come up at least once, in our conversations about Van Gaal wanting a new number 6 or number 8 midfielder. How he ever gets picked in front of Koscielny for France is a mystery of our time.I remember back then around the time you are referring to, these same Scousers were trying to convince us that Sakho was a talented defensive beast..I've still yet to see this...
