Didnt Ten Hag say he was looking for a specific player and that if he cant find it, he will try to develop one? That to me seems like a careful approach by a meticulous man. We have had enough spending money like its the last day of Rome for players the manager doesnt want/need, that end up not getting the best out of them, then selling them 2-3 years later for less than initial transfer fees, not to mention the dramas that come with it.
