The only thing that stopped me doing better ( I got 29) on the BBC quiz was my spelling.
It was always going to be a tough season. Sometimes you've got to take a step back to take a leap forwards. If we’re being very fair, The manager chose not to take off a player who looked like he was carrying a knock on the weekend. Maguire said he wanted to stay on? Oh and there I was thinking Ole was the manager....
The manager and club chose to “get rid of deadwood” and bring in no replacements thus leaving our squad in an inevitable mess when the inevitable injuries occur. The thing is literally everyone said this exact thing was gonna happen at some stage and cost us. Yet inexplicably the people running the club and team didn’t, or did and just thought ‘feck it’ genuinely don’t which is worse.
But he was limping most of the game. A Liverpool fan mate of mine literally said during the game “lol what are you lot doing, Maguire still on and limping”. Presumably only those on our bench could not see this.To be fair, I don't think Maguire says he wanted to stay on. He probably said something along the lines of: I think I can play, I am fine. Would you take him off based on that? It's half time, if your player tells you something, you have to trust him.
It's terrible management and just makes him look weak as piss, like the players call the shots. The way he's reacted so slowly with players hurt is dreadful and continues to cost us. That or rushing players back. This is exactly what I was thinking against Wolves. Ole keeps playing Maguire even though he's injured, just like he did with Scott. And now we've got Jones against City. He really needs to learn to manage the fitness of the players a lot lot better.
Reminds me of Arsene and his 5 year plan. Interesting how that worked out.Interesting Fletcher on sky really pushing that we have a plan. Ole is the man and the plan is 3-4 years.
Hopefully, he won't be out for too long. He almost made the starting eleven tonight by all accounts.Losing Maguire is the biggest disaster, if he's out for awhile we're screwed.
You just can't help but expect Jones to drop a clanger.
Are you being Gary Neville hahaIt was always going to be a tough season. Sometimes you've got to take a step back to take a leap forwards.
His mates are doing their best to keep him in the job.Interesting Fletcher on sky really pushing that we have a plan. Ole is the man and the plan is 3-4 years.
You didn't mention Ole in your post. Is everything okay?Jones and Lingard. Well, this at least will be fun to watch.
Doesn't he pretty much work for the club now though, he's toeing the company line.Interesting Fletcher on sky really pushing that we have a plan. Ole is the man and the plan is 3-4 years.
No idea. Did he say that? If so I agree with himAre you being Gary Neville haha
How it worked out is exactly why Arsenal are where they are now.Reminds me of Arsene and his 5 year plan. Interesting how that worked out.
As Gollum doing ArwenJLingz has got sordid photos of Ole. I'm sure of it.
Yeah, it really is. I'm pretty amazed it's not obvious to everyone. Rushed Pogba back in the autumn, played him in a game where he wasn't needed for 90 mins. Played Scott for 40mins with a knew ligament injury. Rushed Pogba back in the same game. And then again against Wolves, Maguire 90mins with a hip injury. It's kamikaze management. It's terrible management and just makes him look weak as piss, like the players call the shots. The way he's reacted so slowly with players hurt is dreadful and continues to cost us. That or rushing players back.
What would someone who made a pretty good career in the game actually know anyway? Isn't he aware that a bunch of armchair analysts disagree with him?Interesting Fletcher on sky really pushing that we have a plan. Ole is the man and the plan is 3-4 years.
Yeh...is this confirmed? They way he's talking he is clearly involved.Doesn't he pretty much work for the club now though, he's toeing the company line.
Lingard yes, Jones noSo you didn't expect Jones and Lingard to start .
Weird in which sense?Isn't that a bit of a weird starting 11 from City?
