Football narratives really can be great sometimes. Good to see him score after this week
I wouldn’t say poorly but he wasn’t as good as this thread is making out. But it’s a nice redemption story so don’t blame folk.I thought he played poorly outside of the goal, but it looks like im in the minority.
First half both he and Shaw played good. Second is a different story for both. Shaw had a second wind towards the end but then that's because he was taking a 20-35 min break..I thought he played poorly outside of the goal, but it looks like im in the minority.
I think what the person (that you're replying to meant is) why aren't we seeing these performances consistently beyond the last few games. He’s been scoring and assisting for the last 5 games
…..with a different clubGive him a new 5 year contract
So all this time he can do it. He just choose not to?World class performance. Shows that if his head is in the right place, Marcus is our best player by a country mile. Our icon, our talisman. Yes, he made a mistake but he was man enough to own it and faced the consequences. We move.
They must do a two-for-one on Wednesday nights at his local"Marcus Rashford has now scored eight Premier League goals on Thursdays - only Harry Kane, with 10, has more" - BBC, with one of the most pointless facts I've read in a while.

Indeed he isn't but if he gets his act together he very well could beHe is nowhere near our best player by a country mile.
Another 2 month purple patch wouldn't make him our best player either. We know what the deal is with him by now, that's what you get. Then he'll go though almost the entirely of another season without doing shit.Indeed he isn't but if he gets his act together he very well could be
"another 2month purple patch"...can it be called a "purple patch" when the player has them regularly?Another 2 month purple patch wouldn't make him our best player either. Opposite attitude to Garnacho imo, who has what I'd call positive arrogance, where his head never seems to drop and he never seems to stop trying things that make you tear your hair out when they go wrong. Marcus's head drops completely when things aren't going his way and he decides to be passive and take responsibility as little as possible. He just seems to lose motivation so easily. When he’s up for it he’s good enough. When he’s bad it’s worse than playing with ten men.
Whilst your description isn't wrong I think Rashford was a little like Garnacho in that respect when he was that age, now the expectation and pressure is much more on Rashford's shoulders, most us accept that Garnacho is young and is still learning so there;s less expectation and pressure, but in a few years he won't escape the critics if he doesn't get better with his end product an decision making, I think he will but then I thought Rashford would as wellOpposite attitude to Garnacho imo, who has what I'd call positive arrogance, where his head never seems to drop and he never seems to stop trying things that make you tear your hair out when they go wrong. Have you forgotten last season? Take away his goals and where would we be? He has it in him to be an elite level EPL striker, without a shadow of a doubt. Just need to work on his mental aspect and not let off-field issues (such as girlfriend leaving him) affect his on-field performances. He is nowhere near our best player by a country mile.
He doesn’t have it in him to be a top premier league striker. He’s 26 and his best seasons are 17, 17, 11, and 10 goals scored in the league. He’s hardly ruthless in front of goal and wouldn’t trust him in a 50-50. People have been churning out the same excuses for years and will presumably continue to do so until he’s about 30 .A team can’t win the league or champions league with Rashford starting. No way. I wouldn’t even have him on the bench. He encapsulates everything that I’ve grown to dislike about the club over the last eight years or so.Have you forgotten last season? What on earth did you see today to come to that conclusion?Getting better and has shown a lot more in the last 2 games than he has in a while, he'll get there and will make a lot of people eat their words.
@£350,000 a week he should already be “there”Getting better and has shown a lot more in the last 2 games than he has in a while, he'll get there and will make a lot of people eat their words.
Thought he did well and had a good game, personally. What on earth did you see today to come to that conclusion?
Ha ha he's had a poor run of form, i think he is "there" and we'll see it again soon in my view.@£350,000 a week he should already be “there”
