Why does he assume that everyone watching a) is English, and b) gives a damn about the English national team? Besides, fans are increasingly club-before-country...
Martin Tyler is the aboslute worst at this. I once turned a non utd game off because he wouldn't stop talking about the players and England rather than how the current game at hand was going

Complaining to the BBC  I assume it was very much tongue in cheek from most of you. When's the post-ironic candlelit vigil outside Broadcasting House?

Oh yeah, didn't recognize him without three pairs of headphones on.
Always felt more Utd players should have stepped in and defended Ruud in that moment, preferably lamping Gallas.
Same here. RVN was left alone with those morons jumping around and kicking him.

Why was RVN getting stick?Did he dive to win the penalty?Surely there must have been a reason for such a reaction.

I think they might do, yes.

They absolutely definitely (still) think RVN got Vieira sent off earlier - the story ''RVN dived to get Vieira sent off'' was a standard telling of the story. If you watch, there's no dive involved, but the version of events stuck quite well.

Also they weren't happy (possibly with justification) about a naughty tackle by RVN on Ashley Cole.

Will always recall that an 18yr old Ronaldo, playing in his 2nd or 3rd game was one of the first to stand up to the Arse animals

He was made to look like such a fool by the end.

Rio was making fun of him for getting excited before the game and not focusing on the fact Arsenal had again ignored their real issues and Keown had no answer at full time.

He must be the only former Arsenal player in the media that bums Wenger off. Every other ‘legend’ at Arsenal has had harsh words against the club many times and get stick off supporters now because of it, yet Keown is completely pro-Wenger, absolute dick.

He owes him for all those sub apps he gave him so he would get a winners medal last time they won the league.

He was utter shite on the BBC, but he’s improved alot since he’s been on BT! He doesnt jump on the media bandwagon and says it as it is, even though he has brainfarts now and again.

I usually dislike Keown but I think he’s got it spot on about our players so far.

They haven’t been doing the basics for a long time now.

What's he saying if you don't mind me asking?
“ then players need to step up and cant let the manager take all the brunt”

“‘The midfield isn’t working as matic and fellaini are the same players”

“ only Rashford looks like he’s up for it”

“Pogba needs to stop sulking at lost balls and grab the game by the scruff”

Well calling players out. It’s easy to blame the manager but Sanchez constantly gives the ball away. Pogba is similarly guilty of poor passes.

He has also commented about how static the midfield is and how many passes it takes before a United player finally passes forward.

He's also mentioned that when you have so many talented players not playing well you have to question the manager, he's been spot on with most things tonight.

He has actually been quite decent for BT. Might even be their best commentator (not saying much but still). BT must have hired his brother from BBC.

He has no agenda, he says what’s in front of him! Breath of fresh air from the usual dross on the TV.
