I understand that 65 mill is overpaying for Mount, and certainly wouldn't want the club to pay it at all. But why is it when, if we have to cough up 65 mill to sign Mount it's us overpaying, being shafted, doing the usual United thing and caving in... but when Arsenal have had to cough up multiple bids for Declan Rice there isn't the same kind of noise, I mean West Ham haven't budged and Arsenal have had to basically kowtow to their demands to get the deal done. I think we've played the Mount situation well, and going into face to face talks to hash out a deal whilst unlikely to still pay Chelsea's 65mill is good, I don't see it as us appearing weak at all, but us willing to still pursue a deal in the interest of all parties, but willing to negotiate on the finer details, shouldn't be any complaints about this.
Again, not saying Mount is worth 65 it just seems a bit lopsided no?
