Yes, and yesterday he played poorly by his standards, if it was any other player he would've been more than ok.So not ALL of them then? You seriously thought he played well against Chile?

He did absolutely nothing against Brazil and even screwed up an easy 1v1 against the keeper.Yes, and yesterday he played poorly by his standards, if it was any other player he would've been more than ok.

he absolutely did in 2016. He was everywhere. The bad penalty miss overshadowed how good he was. He was mediocre in the 2015 final thoughSo not ALL of them then? You seriously thought he played well against Chile?

In fairness to you that’s a good point about less games. But Ronaldo rightfully didn’t make the euro starting XI since most his goals were penaltiesOne played 4 games vs Hungary, Germany, France and Belgium.
The other played 7 games vs Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.

hes 34 himself don’t be so daft and messi is still the best player in the worldCongratulations to Messi for having better stats than a 36.5 year old man.
1One had 3 penalties, the other had 0.
Unlike most sites that put him in the teamIn fairness to you that’s a good point about less games. But Ronaldo rightfully didn’t make the euro starting XI since most his goals were penalties
To be fair, Ronaldo had also to leave his city (Madeira, an island in the middle of nowhere) to go Lisbon at a similar age. He didn't have his family with him, so while it probably was not as different as Messi leaving his country/continent (but having the same language), it is similar. Some people always argue that Ronaldo played for different Clubs. But i never read people talking about how hard was for Messi as a young boy, having to leave his home country and travel to another continent to have a future with his growth problems because no club in Argentina will pay for this. Being alone with only his father in Barcelona away from his family. You can see videos of him talking at a young age about this. Europe is Small, you can take a plane and travel to another country in a few hours, not the same for another continent. Just a though.
hahaUnlike most sites that put him in the team
Ronaldo.com put it in the team, deal with it.haha

Was carrying an injuryNahh, yesterday he played poorly, I´m not blind as some Ronaldo fans.
I know, he was poor by his standards, for any other player it would´he been a decent performanceWas carrying an injury
No, it’s not. I mean the euros had Denmark in the semi-finals ffsCopa America is a poor enough standard to be fair.
You do know that only Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil are ranked higher than Denmark in terms of South American teams? No, it’s not. I mean the euros had Denmark in the semi-finals ffs
there are very few countries in South America but the rankings are BS anyway. They had Wales in the top ten not that long ago and Wales hadn’t won a tournament in 58 years. So the rankings are useless to go by.You do know that only Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil are ranked higher than Denmark in terms of South American teams?
To dismiss the quality of a tournament by one of the semi-finalists is a bit daft IMO.there are very few countries in South America but the rankings are BS anyway. They had Wales in the top ten not that long ago and Wales hadn’t won a tournament in 58 years. So the rankings are useless to go by.
Not anymore daft than dismissing the quality of Copa America. Euros are of a higher quality but for example I’d argue Argentina had a much bracket than DenmarkTo dismiss the quality of a tournament by one of the semi-finalists is a bit daft IMO.
Copa America is a competition that consists of 10 teams, really hard to argue that the overall quality of the competition is better than the euros.
Ronaldo's career at the top level is over. No sane person actually expected him to win a second consecutive Euros with Portugal at 36 years old. He won a Euros with Portugal. That's probably good enough given the context.hes 34 himself don’t be so daft and messi is still the best player in the world
Id say Denmark would have had a shot at Copa. No, it’s not. I mean the euros had Denmark in the semi-finals ffs

Do you want me to also post the WC data?
Also BTW Ronaldo has 14 penalties in his 109 goals (12.8%) while Messi has 18 penalties in his 76 goals (23.7%) so stop embarrassing yourselves by riding this absurd point.
Ronaldo has 28 more games and in minutes it translates to around 20 more games so Messi has been fed a lot more penalties in relative terms as well.

I’ve always felt that European teams have been better on average than South American teams, but to say standard of quality in Copa is bad is blatantly false. I’d argue smaller South American teams tend to surprise more people in the WC than smaller European teams do in regards to exceeding expectations. I don’t think Denmark would be able to handle either Argentina or Brazil if I’m being honest. They looked very pedestrian against a painfully mediocre England side that went far thanks to an easy bracketId say Denmark would have had a shot at Copa.
Must be why European teams out perform South American teams in every WC theyve played in for the last 20 something years but thats just consistent run of results. Proves nothing really.
at least you admit it. And Portugal going out in the round of 16 is a big disappointment. Portugal were never expected to go out THAT earlyRonaldo's career at the top level is over. No sane person actually expected him to win a second consecutive Euros with Portugal at 36 years old. He won a Euros with Portugal. That's probably good enough given the context.
Messi has won 1 Copa America with Argentina. That really isn't good enough given the context. Context which includes the fact that he's a better player than Ronaldo.
