If we had Nani and Depay out wide, with Di Maria central, we'd be a much pacier and more dangerous side. Add a powerhouse in midfield and we'd be improved dramatically.

Only talking about competitive fixtures, I believe it is 3 goals vs Chelsea, 4 vs Spurs, 3 vs City, 1 vs Pool, 3 vs Arsenal & 2 vs Bayern. Definitely a big-game player. That's more than half of all his goals for us, if I am correct? It says a lot about him.

Pleased he is doing well. Always rated him as a player, it's just his inconsistency that was frustrating. Will be interesting to see what happens with him.

Not true. Nani's already stated on a couple of occasions that Van Gaal wanted him to stay, but he chose to leave. Ultimately, it was the right decision.
We need to move on, Nani has always been a good player, but the impatience with which United fans judged him compared to his mates was ridiculous at times, he's the only player we had that dared not miss a pass, dribble or cross. We've replaced him, with someone that cost triple, who isn't doing much better, I think it will be best for both parties to part ways at the end of the season.

Players often become more consistent as they age, though the downside is obviously that they lose some of their physical prowess.
I've no idea if Nani has actually turned a corner or not but if he can stay fit, he's worth adding to the squad. If he's still shit when he gets back to Manchester, sell him to someone who's desperate in January.

Hes had a tough few years, I'm sure being boo'd by his own fans would have hurt him quite a bit. Finally getting back to enjoying his football, you can see it means a lot to him.
