NBA 2017-2018

Raptors kept looking for the 3 during the end of the fourth, when they should've tried to get inside. Cavs don't look convincing at all.
The winner of Rockets and GSW will win the championship. I hope they scrap the east and west brackets next year.

Curry makes such a difference to the Warriors. In 12 minutes played he has a player plus/minus of +15 yet the Dubs are -12 when he is off the court.

Its getting a bit ridiculous now. After 3 quarters Dubs are +22 when Steph is on the court and -20 when he's off.

Steph is bloody brilliant.

Kevin Durant -5
Klay Thompson -8
Steph Curry +26

Toronto either need to blow it up and start again or visit a psychiatrist. The same thing happens every year now. They've got Stockholm Syndrome at this stage.

I am not going to write off the whole series based on a tightly contested game 1. Toronto can still win it. It was a blow but I still think it’s 50/50 at worst for them now.

They're the Cavs' and LeBron's bitch, and have lost seven(!) consecutive games against them now in the playoffs. They're not winning this series, as per usual.

As much as the raptors are petrified of lebron, and would likely have choked anyway, some of the refereeing last night was very questionable.

They have been much better this season than last year or the year before while Cleveland have been much worse. It’s not over.

Another tactical masterclass from Snyder, don't be suprised if they win in 6 again. He made the adjustments from game 1 and their bench players stepped up, Exum Crowder, neto and Burks.

Personally hate Houston's offense of isolation, jack a 3 or dribble penetrate and pass to somebody on the outside to again jack a 3.

I don't know enough basketball to say but I feel like that's easy enough to defend.

It isn't because Houston has alot of shooters and that's D'antoni style of basketball, in a timeout vs the Timberwolves in the round before he was mic'd up and he actually said lets do what we're known for, hitting three's and playing defense. They've been playing like this all year.

Sure. I just hate it.

Me too.

Crazy good performance by the jazz, to win a game on the road against the best team without your starting PG and your SG going 6/21 is an incredible effort. Biggest positive is that so many players played well today. Rockets continuing to trust their live and die by 3 philosophy which is a pretty risky one

I don't watch the Rockets often because I don't enjoy it at all, Harden is unwatchable at times like in the second quarter today . That foul that Ingles got called for made me so angry

I watched a video interview of Gobert talking about their coach. He really reminded of Jose Mourinho in the way he tries to prepare for every detail

What a huge win for the Jazz! To come back to Salt Lake City with homecourt advantage sorted is a huge deal, especially after disappointing game 1 and Rubio’s injury.

Next game is key. If they go 2-1 up and keep the momentum, they might actually have a shot. Rockets are still huge favourites to progress but Jazz have given themselves a chance with this win.

Other Kobe "Detail" episodes, I love this series already.

Episode 1: Lakers Vs Nuggets: WCF 2009

Episode 2: Derozen Vs. Wizards Round 1 Game 1 2018

Interesting in that 7 playoff games so far there have been 3 ocassions on which Rockets have shot below 31% from 3 , when you are taking so many every game if you shoot 30% or less then I think you are in serious trouble

Live by the three, die by the three. I expect GSW to beat them in four or five (if Houston get past Utah).

Still not worried, Jazz will not shoot this well all games and Rockets won't play this bad.

On the other hand Mitchell might not have such a poor game scoring wise again and Utah will be at home for the next two games. Win them and Houston are in huge trouble.

Rockets are big favourites but things have got complicated.

I think Rockets should get through in 6 but while they played really badly yesterday I thought Utah left a lot on the table as well. Mitchell had a bad day and I still think that Gobert can do much more , add to that the outside chance of Rubio being possibly available at some point and things could get really interesting

Did you watch the start of the game? The Rockets started the game very carelessly and continued to do so until Harden took control of things in the end of the 2nd quarter, if anything I'd say they needed this loss to be less careless.

Oh yes I hate the Rockets thats why I'm a fan, what a smart question.

Mate, no need to be snarky. Was a genuine question. Lots of united fans who are not fans of our current style of play. I didn't ask how you felt about your team, it was about your offense style.

I was just joking around, I'm not really a Rockets fan as much as I am a Harden fan, I used to love watching them with Yao and T-Mac but didn't care if they win or lose, I was more of a Lakers fan, but I just love Harden's style so much so I became a Rockets fan recently (also me going to Houston which has become like a 2nd home to me helped with that) but I don't think I will continue to be a Rockets fan when/if Harden leaves.

Well they were still leading early in the fourth quarter and Utah closed out the game better so I wouldn’t say it was down to the start of the game entirely. I only watched the second half as it was too late to stay up all night for as I spent most of the previous night watching Raptors and Cavs. I often catch just second halves.

Yep. I expect Houston to win the series but it’s not like Utah balled out of their mind last night while Houston were significantly below par. Utah can play better than this, Houston will also play better. It will be interesting.

Big games in Toronto and Boston tonight. Toronto playing to survive while Phila are playing to get advantage.

They were down 19 points at one point in the first half, that kind of carelessness at home is unacceptable.
