Seattle needed to improve their pass rush. Prolly gonna cut Mingo anyways. They'll also get a 3rd round compensatory pick if Clowney leaves after one year. Effectively trading Jacob Martin for one year of Clowney is a great trade.
Yeah, we were gonna cut Mingo. Was fully expecting us having to give up Penny or an offensive linesman plus a second, I would say Texans need to fire their GM but might be a bit late for that.

Thomas released as well... strange move that.

Andrews on IR will be a big blow as well.

Dolphins just traded Tunsil and Stills to the Texans for a bunch of picks. We're in full tank mode...

I assume there is some sort of bet between NFL GMs to see who can destroy Rosen the most. First the Cardinals OL and now Miami trades it's star left tackle. Good move for the Texans though, lessens the risk that Watson becomes the next Andrew Luck.

Fitz is the starter week one but I would surprised if we don't see Rosen by at least week six. Dolphins will want to have a good look at him before drafting a QB next year but the problem is the team is so bad it will be tough to judge Rosen. I feel bad for the kid he seems to get himself in some shitty situations. #TankforTua begins.

Surprised Thomas got released. He looked lively last preseason game. Maybe we're hoping we can sign him back after the initial transactions.

Yeah, Bradford was the starter ahead of Rosen to start last season and he was brought in the third game, will be similar this year. Fitz will probably come back in when Rosen dies.

I'm typing this with my Glock 19 two feet from me
hey yall come on over to the ncaa thread which is consistently funnier than anything the never ever does. quick recap here:

  • hugh freeze was the coach for the guy from the blind side in high school
  • several years later he got a job as the head coach for mississippi and was moderately successfully
  • in 2017, an unrelated lawsuit revealed that hugh freeze used his school issued phone to call an escort service (hugh freeze is an outspoken christian, which should surprise no one)
  • he then resigned instead of being fired
  • 2 seasons later he is hired as the coach of Liberty University (run by Jerry Falwell Jr, a major trump supporter and outspoken christian (thats bingo if youre scoring at home)
  • today is opening day and since he had surgery only 2 weeks ago and the surgery requires 4-6 weeks of recovery time, he decided to coach from a hospital bed in the coaches booth

which leads to this picture

this feckin dipshit sat in a hospital bed in a football stadium and for what? to watch his team get shutout at home. great stuff

If Tunsil is smart and ruthless enough, he‘ll hold out for a new contract now and let’s the Texans pay for their stupidity. Spending that much without having a new deal ready, is just dumb.

I think he’ll be the highest paid LT in the league before the start of next season.

Wilson currently only QB on Seahawk’s roster ... wonder who they’re gonna go for?
Likely to re-sign Geno Smith, suggestion I've seen is that we cut him to make room for Mingo and Martin, once they're traded to Houston for Clowney we'll have the spot for the backup QB.

If not he should change his agent. He’s got amazing leverage now. He should use it.

In a fantasy draft today - I drafted Zeke Round 2 (pick 16), Melvin Gordon round 8 and AJ Green round 13

Boom/bust but surely that's incredible value for the risk??

That’s ridiculous, Gordon in the 8th and Zeke outside the first

No contract talks anymore between Gordon and the Chargers. So either he gets traded, sits out, or cuts his holdout short and plays for his $5.6m salary.

He can’t sit out the whole season though, as otherwise this year won’t count as his fifth year. He’d return W8.

I think he probably ends up getting traded but who knows.

Rumours of his reps talking to the Eagles late last night. He also liked a few NFL teams on Instagram  Falcons, Raiders, 49ers and Eagles IIRC.
