It doesn't. I should have put the 'then', but him being younger makes him a more impressive talent. Why would him being 2 years older not make him a talent and one not to watch?

Afcon has decimated many a club and its title aspirations. Just look at Liverpool desperately clinging on to Top 4 when with Mané that would have been done and dusted by now.AFCON lasts 3/4 weeks assuming your country wins, 5 max if you train with your country before hand.
There's no Champions League games, usually there's a 4/5th round of the FA CUP & a League Cup quarter final or so, it's hardly crunch time of the season, and certainly shouldn't be used as a reason not to select a player who would be eligible for the AFCON. That's just a lazy excuse imo.
At that time in Liverpool's season, they depended solely on Mane pretty much, that's their fault for not finding adequate squad cover to replace him.Afcon has decimated many a club and its title aspirations. Chelsea and Arsenal have suffered badly before. When competing for honours, that one month understrength can make all the difference. You can be pretty damn sure it's a consideration in transfer policy. It would be negligent not to.
What is he up to these days ?Will be interesting to see him and Mikel (yes, he's still alive) at the World Cup.
Strutting his stuff in China. What is he up to these days ?
That's always been my main point of concern.Seems to be more interest in ascertaining whether he has a brother called Ohyes.
Aye. Has looked ace for the national team though.Strutting his stuff in China.
I've heard he's generally always looked pretty good at NT level. To be fair, he's actually a good player, albeit a fairly limited one.Aye. Has looked ace for the national team though.
I think he's a bit underrated when you consider the hype around the likes of Neves and Rice and they are all of a similar age. Apparently recovered possession more times than anyone else. He's no Pogba on the ball but he definitely tries to pass forward more than guys like Gueye and Rice, and he is IMO a better ball carrier than both. If the plan is to play a 4231 he could be a solid addition as one of the two holders.I take it the general consensus on the Caf is this guy is over rated?
And to add to this he has a serious engine on him, he's the type of player that will run his b*ll*cks off until the final whistle. Does the simple things very well which I really like.I think he's a bit underrated when you consider the hype around the likes of Neves and Rice and they are all of a similar age. He has been very good this season, his defensive/breakup play has been exceptional. He is six feet plus & fairly good in the air but his passing game still needs some work. At 22 years old he is a bona fide talent who will only improve with good coaching. I'm not sure that United are ready to take on a young player who is not a finished product. He’s an interesting one alright. I have to admit he looked like some sort of mixture of Vieira and Kante against City. Was immense.

Nah I like him. Wouldn’t mind getting him this Summer - good defensively and very nimble on the ball .. ideal for the deeper role in modern game.I take it the general consensus on the Caf is this guy is over rated?
Is Tielsman a big upgrade? Why is he on loan at Leicester?Superb player and, like Tielemans, exactly the sort of player we need to bring in for a rebuild. An upgrade on our current CM options by some way.
If Leicester keep hold of their midfield and buy well, they will definitely be in the top 6 next season. Maybe too 4.
Best midfield outside of the top 2 if you ask me.
Important to keep in perspective his age and role. De Jong for example only broke out this season at age 21. Tielemans was 21 for all of the season. Personally I'm a fan of grooming Gomes for this role, but Tielemans is the better option right now. Not sure right now is the time to buy though. Is Tielsman a big upgrade? My bad. I was trying to suggest that Ndidi is an upgrade and I’d say he is - easily based on this past season performances. Is Tielsman a big upgrade? Why is he on loan at Leicester?
Nobody is talking about him because there are better players that United can attract.Wilfred Ndidi.
Am I the only one who thinks this young lad is on his way to becoming a super player? He's not going about it like one of those obviously immensely talented young lads out there but like one of those payers who suddenly emerge as outstanding one day and you are wondering how come he wasn't getting all the attention before.
I will happily have this guy at United in place of Fellaini and as a squad player. He is energetic, comfortable on the ball (he started out as a striker), has some long distance rockets in his boots (strikes frequently from distance and once scored a screamer from long range that was voted the goal of the season in Belgium), plays in midfield but can also play across the back line, he's tall and good in the air, he's a great ball winner, he has very decent passing ability and he's younger than Kane, Alli and Sane (so he has a long career ahead of him).
Define what you want with better players? Are they better at being a destroyer? Because we need more of that considering we have Pogba. On the other hand, if Pogba leaves then that changes things.Nobody is talking about him because there are better players that United can attract.
