He played pretty crap today, but scored an amazing and unique goal though.

What’s crazy is Stones’ goal a few minutes earlier was City’s first shot on target in the game. That’s how quiet Haaland had been.

It's a shame he's going to retire a City player. If he was a united player Real Madrid would be kicking down the door next summer. How do they always manage to keep the players.
No, don't be like that. Real Madrid have to buy him and save the Premier League. They have to. :( Who even cares if they win the CL anymore times anyway?

For anyone saying he wouldn’t make much of a difference to the team performance, just look how many points he’s won us already this season.

Real are going to want to replace Benz when he eventually calls it a day in couple years. Just gotta hope Erling likes Spain.

He's lucky the defender wasn't there or he'd be sent off.
I do actually think he could get a red at some stage for high foot, again similar to Zlatans flying kung fu kicks, all it takes is wrong place, wrong time. These big guys don't realize that a foot at chest height is most peoples heads.

Yep. If he can stay fit, I think he will surpass Messi's record. Maybe not this season necessarily, but sooner or later.
If Norway qualifies for a WC/Euros, i’m sure he can get there.

whats messis record in a calendar year?

Nah… Seems like he has full control. Just watch it again.

Why did he use his foot there instead of his head? It was header height, no?

They played without a striker for 2 years
To think that Jesus, who has probably been the second best striker in the Premiership this season, is the same guy who wasn't considered good enough for City. Just goes to show their standards unfortunately.

He's 22 so he's nearly finished at top level.

We only need to wait 15 years.

I genuinely hope he is a Zlatan who gets bored and club hops, e.g. go to Italy, then Spain, then France etc.

He's a monster already and he will score for fun for creative teams.

As great as Haaland is, I’m not sure the goal was as great as it looks. He did great to get his foot on it like he did but the GK was shocking. It literally went through him.

What? How is he better than Toney, Mitrovic, Kane?

Getting really sick of the Norwegian media fellating this cnut at every turn. Every single day his ugly mug is plastered all over every damn news outlet with bullshit clickbait stories. «Haaland did this!» «Haaland did that!» «Haaland’s teammates LOVE this about him!»

He may and probably is going to break all goal scoring records this season but there will always be criticism regarding the rest of his game. The challenge will come once Guardiola leaves city and they are no longer as dominant; he will have to do more than poach goals than he may be found out.

The lack of ability outside scoring means that even if he does outscore everyone, he won't be mentioned in the company of Pele, Messi and Maradona. Something similar to Cristiano.

This is a nice thought but he was setting CL goalscoring records playing for RB Salzburg and later Dortmund, it doesnt appear as if the team he plays for makes that much a difference, just get him the ball.

He came to City to chew bubblegum and score goals, and after his transfer they couldn't legally afford any bubblegum

Bit reaching mate.

If all he does is score a shit load of goals, every team and manager that has him will be delighted.

What does Ronaldo do for us other than score goals sometimes?
