They’re being egged on by their parents and local figures, words have caused this in the first place. It’s time they did something to stop it.The leaders have absolutely no control of it. The kids out there probably wouldn't recognize most of the politicians in this country.
They have caused it yes absolutely but now it's started I don't think anything they say will stop it because nobody is listening now. They’re being egged on by their parents and local figures, words have caused this in the first place. It’s time they did something to stop it.
Not when marching season starts up again it will only get worse then, I just fear some head ball pulls out a gun and fires into a crowd.watching some videos on social media. This won't be settling down any time soon.
Arlene Foster is a joke
Probably when the covid restrictions are reduced and they all can go to pubs and nightclubs instead.Where does this end?
With the cops locking these drug pushing thugs upWhere does this end?
This is exactly whats going on, whilst Arlene and the DUP rattle on about Bobby Storey and the NI Protocol
Yeah its all about the SE Antrim UDA and the impact the customs checks are having on their drugs trade. Everything else is just a distraction - this is why they are orchestrating the people onto the streets. This is exactly whats going on, whilst Arlene and the DUP rattle on about Bobby Storey and the NI Protocol
fecking eejit.Anyone see the video on the news of the boy setting his head on fire?
I doubt he wasn’t such a big man this morning.
Can I ask why you think this?Arlene Foster is a joke the first thing she says is “Sinn Fein are the real criminals”, instead of trying to put an end of this madness, let’s be honest this has nothing to do with a funeral.
I think the SE Antrim UDA (not the UDA at all, basically its the Carrick mob ) are using peoples built up frustration with everything that's going on and using it for their own agenda yes, but a lot of that frustration with in the Unionist community is very real, without this frustration none of this would be happening. I was in the local shop the other day and heard 2 middle aged woman talking basically saying they in kind agreed with what was going on.Yeah its all about the SE Antrim UDA and the impact the customs checks are having on their drugs trade. Everything else is just a distraction - this is why they are orchestrating the people onto the streets.
Do you think the reason you’d be rioting for 5 days, injuring 50 police and causing 100’s of thousands of pounds worth of damage is because of a funeral? Can I ask why you think this?
I agree with this post its a combination of a lot of things, you think a mass parade for a convicted IRA man, during a lock down for a global pandemic, with the leadership of a governing party in attendance while basically privately hiring a public crematorium and graveyard was a good idea and acceptable? All while said governing party was telling every one else to stay home or face fines, its fecking laughable and could only happen here , an incredibly inflammatory thing to do. All this along with the centenary of Northern Ireland has just heated the situation.Do you think the reason you’d be rioting for 5 days, injuring 50 police and causing 100’s of thousands of pounds worth of damage is because of a funeral?
Loyalists see the writing is on the wall for an United Ireland and are lashing out because their own leadership has let them down. This has got nothing to do with anyone else, solely at the blame of the DUP.
It definitely didn’t help matters and I myself think Michelle O’Neill should have given a proper apology as she was Deputy first minister but for the carnage caused the last 5 nights there’s a lot of other elements of involved Irish Sea Border, the Protocol, an United Ireland and just plain bigotry.I agree with this post its a combination of a lot of things, you think a mass parade for a convicted IRA man, during a lock down for a global pandemic, with the leadership of a governing party in attendance while basically privately hiring a public crematorium and graveyard was a good idea and acceptable? Also I hope your not implying I was rioting, my Rangers scarf was in the was guv, honest.
I actually do have a Rangers scarf somewhere from my teenage years, no idea where it is.It definitely didn’t help matters and I myself think Michelle O’Neill should have given a proper apology as she was Deputy first minister but for the carnage caused the last 5 nights there’s a lot of other elements of involved Irish Sea Border, the Protocol, an United Ireland and just plain bigotry.
You never know with you’s Protestants hi, I’ll be looking out for a Harry Kane Tottenham top on the news tonight
Maybe should have been fines given but it would have only opened a can of worms with the Hugh Hill funeral and the Rangers celebrations, it was the PPS that decided not the police so I don’t know why all the violence has been aimed towards them.I actually do have a Rangers scarf somewhere from my teenage years, no idea where it is.
I think Michelle and other SF members choose their words very well, not quite apologising for attending and certainly not saying they wouldn't do it again, it was more a "sorry we hurt your feelings" which didn't go un noticed. There should have been fines handed out art the very least, I don't think anyone was expecting a case to be brought.
Agreed.Maybe should have been fines given but it would have only opened a can of worms with the Hugh Hill funeral and the Rangers celebrations, it was the PPS that decided not the police so I don’t know why all the violence has been aimed towards them.
Almost anything can and has been be used as justification for a riot in Northern Ireland though.I can’t believe we have people saying they understand why someone would be frustrated enough about a funeral to start throwing petrol bombs over it. Government officials attending events they shouldn’t during the pandemic has happened basically everywhere. It was a mini “scandal” each time too. It hasn’t been used as justification for severe violence anywhere else.
Look the wrong way at someone in NI and it’s enoughI can’t believe we have people saying they understand why someone would be frustrated enough about a funeral to start throwing petrol bombs over it. Worst thing is, the funeral was apparently well marshalled. It followed the protocol that the PSNI thought were in place in terms of the actual funeral itself. I'm guessing this is aimed at me, I don't think anything justifies the violence we are seeing and I am not saying its just because of the funeral, as has been said its been coming since Brexit vote, Boris' public statements, the DUP making a mess as the DUP do and the border issues.I can’t believe we have people saying they understand why someone would be frustrated enough about a funeral to start throwing petrol bombs over it. Escalating things will not help. At all.feck the little thugs I feel sorry for the people that have to live close to those interfaces. Imagine your grandparents looking on at that with everything they've had to live through. They'd be scared out of their wits.
Get the rubber bullets out, see how far these little fecks are willing to take this.

A mob of rioters are petrol bombing police. It has already escalated. Water canons at least.Escalating things will not help. At all.
The BBC definitely need to reign him in, I used to like his show years ago but he's just winding people up at this stage to chase ratings.Worst thing is, the funeral was apparently well marshalled. Its justification to militarise the vote before the next election under the fear of a nationalist first minister. Its about time these fake reasons arent given airtime. The likes of Nolan needs to feck off back at this stage
I don’t know the answers man. But you suggested bullets. It wouldn’t help.A mob of rioters are petrol bombing police. It has already escalated. Water canons at least.

Id say that's exactly what the people organising this want, firing rubber bullets at 13/14 yos will only give this more support.A mob of rioters are petrol bombing police. It has already escalated. Water canons at least.
Going in heavy handed just plays into a narrative they are already exploiting.A mob of rioters are petrol bombing police. It has already escalated. Water canons at least.
