Jose' words after the game.

I thought he was spot on, not happy and really hammered the team there. He's completely right to.

The team has to step up and show some fecking balls.

He'll get criticised by some for saying it, but he's completely right.

I'd normally say this game is a wake up call for the team, but seemingly they don't care after they lose because this has happened far too many times this season already.

He is right, but the first 2 things are his job, so he needs to criticize himself here too. But of course the players are fecking frustrating to watch atm too.

Not Ready......have to point the finger at Jose for that
Not Mentally Prepared.....have to put most of the blame on Jose for that.
Not Committed.....that's on the players
Nah, the players have got to take responsibility for this crap show tonight. Maybe the preparation wasn't great but Jose cannot play on the pitch aswell. The lack of passion is on the players.

So basically he's losing the dressing room 3 months in?

Isn't it the managers job to have the players ready? To have them prepared?

Isn't that part of what made SAF so great, is that he got the players ready and mentally prepared for the games?

He can't mentally prepare the players for them.
They are a bunch of grown men. Time to sack up!

He better be careful or he'll have the players crying again like after he laid into Shaw. He should absolutely slaughter the lazy bastards.

Troublesome for several reasons.

If it were the first time this season the team didn't show up I'd say good management, let 'em know it's not acceptable.

But it isn't. And that points towards José being part of the problem.

There's so few winners in the side, that'll do whatever it takes in adversity. José himself has also lost that winning aura.

It's worrying.

I fecking hate this competition. Even SAF wasn't able to get us up for Europa League games and we were completely outfought by Bilbao. The opposition play like their lives depend on it and we play like we'd rather be somewhere else.

He can only do so much though. The lack of heart and passion from the players is on them. We have seen it for a long time now with this set of primadonnas .

Throwing his team under the bus just like he did at Chelsea. That's the way to win the hearts and minds of the dressing room alright.

At least he is being honest. I'd much rather that after an awful performance than the excuses lvg and moyes would continually come up with.

He can only attempt to get them ready and mentally prepared if they are not committed it is a waste of time. Some want their arses kicking.

What a joke. He is directly responsible for the first 2 points. Jose is a "has been" manager. Taking pot shots at your team is the only thing he does well now. And of course talking a big game before the match.

How could anyone take issue with what he said?

It's all in his hands

If he is not stupid he will sell a lot of these player in January

Otherwise

These players will cost him the job

If he doesn't make nothing he will lose the job soon.

What's he supposed to say then? He didn't name anyone, they need to look at each other and themselves to work out who he was getting at.

I can't. It is justified.
I keep thinking about the Bilbao games and what they did to us. Then years later Giggs said they weren't really trying in the game. Now did that come from SAF or was it the players not being arsed.

Scroll and back and read my entire comment then because I clearly put the lack of commitment on the players themselves. So basically you are agreeing with me.

He's basically saying the players don't give a feck and it shows on the pitch. We need to ship out 7-8 players from this squad and start from scratch (doesn't mean we need to spend 70m+ on every player either)

It's been like this for a few years now be LVG, Mourinho or even getting SAF back you just feel this group of players need splitting up the manager can only do so much.

Hes as good as lost the dressing room then if he cant motivate the players and has openly said this to the media.

Woodward needs to put out a strong statement to the press about the level of performance from these players. Mourinho needs backing otherwise the players are running the dressing room again, which is what has happened to the last two managers.

Are you watching closely?
Van Gaal complained about the same. Remember the "horny" comment?

Our players still aren't horny enough. Van Gaal couldn't fix that, and it remains to be seen whether Jose can. But so far it's not looking good.

I would blame the too many matches. We look mentally tired. If we were hypothetically only playing one match a week, we would be better psychologically for the games.

If the club are serious, and Jose is serious, it will take him 3 years to change the culture of the team. Everyone needs to stay calm.

Pretty sure it's down to him as the manager to prepare the players

Commitment alright, that's different, but if the players constantly show lack of it why are they still playing?

Edit: Unless each and everyone of them does

A few players weren't afraid to hide it against Chelsea anyway
