True. Going downhill sadly yet again fast. It's been just another false dawn before we turn to shit again and blow this cup, the FA Cup and also blow top 4 too for good measure.

The only other option today is Rashford up top (or playing without a striker, aka Bruno as a false 9 type of thing)I hope Wout gets one more chance to start before definitively becoming a sub. I want him to score so badly.

Other teams don't have as many games to play as we do this seasondo other teams fans' worry about resting players the same way we do? it said in commentary last night, Newcastle had kept the same team for the past 4 games on the bounce.
Do Newcastle have less games than us this season?Other teams don't have as many games to play as we do this season
Newcastle are playing like 20 games fewer than us this season. But yes, this place has an unhealthy obsession with resting players. Rest this guy, rest that guy, rest every single player every fecking game. It's seriously more tiring reading about players needing a rest than the players actually are tiring from playing games.Do Newcastle have less games than us this season?
Why would you rest your best CB and best forward in a semi final away match ? Start the strongest team ffs.Varane, Shaw, Eriksen, Rashford should be rested today. The rest should be strongest 11 IMO (as the rest have been rotated often/rested last week midweek or aren't necessarily guaranteed starters anyway). Lindelof of Maguire next to Martinez, Malacia in, Fred and Garnacho in. Rest as is.
Casemiro can be rested vs Reading but start him or course the semi final games.
They've all played too much FM, where that little bar gives you an actual visual representation of how tired/fit a player is at any given moment.Newcastle are playing like 20 games less than us this season. If the caf was given the chance to choose a team for the CL final they'd pick the 11 players in the squad who have played the least football because everyone else needs a rest.
Because it's Nottingham forest, it's the first leg, and we still have a very good team to put around them. Its important to rest players now and then so they don't get fecked with injuries in more important games. Rashford will likely start which is fine but Eriksen and Varane have no business starting this with Varane's injury record and Eriksen looking tired lately (and having adequate depth). Same with Shaw. Just put Malacia in his place, plenty of quality. Why would you rest your best CB and best forward in a semi final away match ? Start the strongest team ffs.
It all comes from the fear of the fans that if Rashford, Casemiro, Bruno, Varane, Martinez or Shaw get injured we are in big trouble, which is not far from the truth, but a player can get injured in training anytime or whenever he plays.Newcastle are playing like 20 games fewer than us this season. Two late goals in two games and you start getting posts like this, incredible. It's been just another false dawn before we turn to shit again and blow this cup, the FA Cup and also blow top 4 too for good measure.

It's still an away match and playing them away since many years and is a semi final. Opposition doesn't matter.Because it's Nottingham forest, it's the first leg, and we still have a very good team to put around them. Just give it up.True. Going downhill sadly yet again fast.
I mean, you say that, but the last two games we've ended up conceding sloppy late goals due to fatigue/lack of intensity in closing minutes of games. It's pretty obvious our squad is limited once you get past our first choice XI, and the drop off has been demonstrated regularly this season. I completely get why - during a season defining run of games - people are cautious about injuries/players burning out.Newcastle are playing like 20 games fewer than us this season. He will be starter until Tony puts in enough effortI hope Wout gets one more chance to start before definitively becoming a sub. I want him to score so badly.

Players can be rested against Reading.
De Gea has played the bulk of League Cup fixtures this season and I see no reason why he should be rested now for Heaton, although bringing Maguire into the back line would be pragmatic, as the club captain is capable in such fixtures.
What else do you expect from Luckhurst?
