We're living in his head rent free.

Also the quote about the stand for Berrada is ironic, coming from a manager of a club which has statues of Kompany and Silva, players who played their recently, only confirming their history started when the Arabs came.
They were going to commission a Jamie Pollock one but they couldn't get enough materials

Pep is just turning into Mourinho with nicer football.

That too will fade in time and he’ll just be a gnarly old has been like Mou, except with added asterisks next to his achievements.
Even at his worst Jose is still actually funny.

He remains a City employee while he serves his notice period (which will presumably be away from the club on garden leave). It is unlikely he will make any comment in the interim.
That’s right. Will be pottering about in his garden until then.

We can see this guy impact in another 3-4 months time. Hopefully as what he says, transfer signings are identified with a valuation in place. We move on to other targets if the other club as for the sky. If he can accomplish that in my mind, then we got the right guy. I assume he would need to sign off the any deals that we make.

Yeah, I’d heard that was probably the case too but outside of Germany, United are/were definitely the most alluring and bigger club in my opinion and maybe (probably wisely) Pep thought feck that I’m not following Ferguson I’d be on a hiding to nothing.
Maybe it does come down to him being too intimidated at the thought of replacing Fergie

He doesn't start for six months.

I don't think an official start date has been confirmed yet but I would assume with him having left City already he will be working on making an impact for the summer even if he hasn't "officially" started in the role as yet.

I have a feeling that Qatar will eventually be back in for us, and we'll end being owned jointly by INEOS and Qatar. Jim will get to be the face of the ownership (like Boehly at Chelsea), with Qataris funding in return for their own promotion.

Someone like Omar will be extremely valuable then because he knows how to navigate that relationship in the ME, getting around FFP etc from his time at City. Welcome to the team Omar!

Sadly, if Ratcliffe ends up in joint ownership with anyone other than the Glazers, I fear it is much more likely to be the Saudis, with whom he already has a longstanding relationship.

No way is he trying to spin this as being started by him . Standards only dropped with him, and part of that increase will be his removal.
I can accept the argument that United need a new manager to move forward under this new regime

But I think that’s very harsh. He picked United up a long way from that Rangnick stint and did a decent job last season.

I also think he’d be much better this season if he’d been working with a sporting director like every other major clubs manager is, rather than doing it all himself

He didn't raise standards, they are at their lowest this season. Last season was achieved largely due to Casemiro, Martinez and Rashford. The cup win had the easiest run and it was all downhill from there as he failed or didn't bother to go the extra mile. We almost didn't succeed at top 4, as there was a run of games where us, newcastle and the rest of the pack kept winning and then losing. It's all inspite of him.

We were not close to missing out on top 4, don't rewrite history.

Not sure they’ve been getting around FFP all that well at city - with 115 charges and all, no?

Why would Qatar want that?

His decision making on transfers and tactics has swung to sixty or seventy percent piss poor after a half encouraging season last year, but you cannot deny he's brought a sense of discipline to the team and therefore has set some standards. Personally I don't think it's enough, I don't think his Draconian approach only works if it bring success but let's hope he can turn it around.

Why would Qatar want that?
And why would Ratcliffe? Never going to happen.

I really don’t know how to respond to that

I’m guessing you just want Ten Hag out a lot and therefore don’t want to accept anything except what you want to be true

Pep getting upset because nobody was interested who Berreda was when he was at Man City but as per usual whenever someone joins United their profile in the public eye goes up ten fold

His man management is awful. You're either his favourite or you are not. Some players will get picked regardless of form at the expense of others, and he's got into too many public spats for him to have created this discipline you say he has. Fans on here are still complaining about the players attitudes, so has he done anything at all?

Yes we were until newcastle almost collapsed.
We were literally over 90% to make top 4 according to the bookmakers at any point after match week 30.

It wasn't close. A lot of posters here started shitting bricks after we lost points in April and early May, but it really wasn't close.

Who cares what the bookmakers say as if that is any bearing on reality?

Fans on here will merrily dance to the tune any cheap hack plays.

One comment is hardly evidence for us "living in his head".

Again, what would that be true?
Don't understand the question?

United is still a big draw, more clicks are made about our failings then City's tainted titles. Pep is well aware of that.
