United's stronger defence??
have to concurBecause you're cnuts.
I picked you second but I think you'll be about as good as last year, but probably with fewer injuries. Chelsea were better than their results last year IMO.I just think these predictions show yet again that people on the Caf are massively overrating what we’ve lost in defense. You’d think reading some of the reasoning here that we’ve lost our half our team. We lost 1 nailed on starter in Rüdiger and one CB who wasn’t nailed on to start even when he was fit. That’s it.
Koulibaly for Rüdiger is a wash and if we get Kounde that’s a huge upgrade over AC.
Sterling is a gigantic upgrade in attack. Gallagher returns as one of the most promising midfielders in the league. We will make more signings.
I can’t see us finishing any lower than 3rd.
From what i can gather he was asking a perfectly simple question (that if approached properly would have triggered healthy debate) to which you put words his mouth with this strange statement that apparently he wants everyone to say we're the best. These needy Chelsea fans desperate for some approval.
Cute little fellas!
all possible except Stevies Villa finishing top halfUnited
City
Tottenham
Arsenal
Liverpool
Chelsea
Villa
Newcastle
Brighton
West Ham
City is the obvious favourite, but I always back United.
Chelsea I just don't rate at all.
Liverpool will miss Mane.
Arsenal and Tottenham have a good window so far, I expect them to improve this season.
If they are as good as they were last season they'll be miles behind Liverpool (who finished behind City by a point)I picked you second but I think you'll be about as good as last year, but probably with fewer injuries. Chelsea were better than their results last year IMO.
Koulibaly and Rudiger is basically a wash. Kounde should be an upgrade over Christensen in the long run but in the short term is basically a wash once you factor in a league and system adjustment period.
Sterling is definitely an upgrade, but not the truly prolific scorer that Chelsea really needed.
I think we'll see further age-related regression from players like Kante, Jorginho, and Silva.
In sum, you'll be about as good as last year with better luck, which should have you fighting with Liverpool for second but still not truly threatening City (unless they have a disaster season themselves).
@TheReligion has an almost unhealthy, obsessive hatred of Chelsea. Literally any mention of Chelsea and he’s in the thread downplaying or shitting on whatever it is.From what i can gather he was asking a perfectly simple question (that if approached properly would have triggered healthy debate) to which you put words his mouth with this strange statement that apparently he wants everyone to say we're the best.
Move over Will Fish. I’ve caught myself a pair of whoppers!@TheReligion has an almost unhealthy, obsessive hatred of Chelsea. Literally any mention of Chelsea and he’s in the thread downplaying or shitting on whatever it is.
His bitterness over Koulibaly signing was a bit odd but appears harmless enough.@TheReligion has an almost unhealthy, obsessive hatred of Chelsea. Literally any mention of Chelsea and he’s in the thread downplaying or shitting on whatever it is.
Donkey Darwin or Darwin the Donkey probably works better...wait what am I doing?!But Liverpool also have Donkey Nunez that may need a season to settle. We're picking up our usual injuries which for some reason we avoided last season (and breathe/inhale). City will finish first.
I feel you and City will have teething problems trying to adapt your number 9s but City will win out purely because Haaland is likely to score the more goals to make up for what he takes out systematically. However if Klopp goes down his previous route of bleeding the new guy in slowly and sticking to a fluid front three in the short term then that could swing things in your favour. My tuppence then as I didn't add reasons:
City have lost some good players up front and maybe Silva soon too. Donkey Haaland may feck up their fluid play. 3rd PL in a row is a tall ask.
But Liverpool also have Donkey Nunez that may need a season to settle. We're picking up our usual injuries which for some reason we avoided last season (and breathe/inhale). City will finish first.
Chelsea still haven't found a goalscorer. They have Sterling instead, a very good buy. Tuchel has had a full season to settle in. Won't be enough to finish above 85 points but comfortable 3rd.
Spurs have Kuselevski, Son and Kane plus Conte. That's enough for an easy 4th place.
Arsenal are a dark horse mainly because I've not noticed them for a few years (sorry Arse fans). But Lego Pep does finally seem to have them playing in his vision. One to watch.
Man Utd, though I have them in 5th it's mainly to keep from being banned. Any team that failed to replace AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Fred and McT plus the return of IAmKing7 is going to struggle massively regardless of new manager bounce/tactics. But let's go with 5th while we're all happy.
I think a lot of it comes back to people's views on Tuchel. I don't follow it closely, but it seemed to me he kind of lost the dressing room at PSG after a couple of seasons. Think the same thing could happen at Chelsea this season. If it does, with an ambitious new owner, Tuchel could be out of a job by the World Cup break and Chelsea's season flushed.I just think these predictions show yet again that people on the Caf are massively overrating what we’ve lost in defense. His problems was with the board. The squad absolutely loved him, even Mbappe and Neymar.I think a lot of it comes back to people's views on Tuchel. I think you've probably nailed the top 6. I fancy Newcastle to finish 7th, though. So:Come on then Redcafe experts, what will the table look like in May? You can wait until the transfer window shuts but I'm good to go with the top side:
1. City
2. Liverpool
3. Chelsea
4. Spurs
5. Utd
6. Arsenal
7. West Ham
Tuchel is closer to the players than any manager I’ve seen since Mourinho in his first stint. There isn’t even a slight hint of dressing room issues. I think we would have to have an implosion of epic proportions for Tuchel’s job to be in danger. Like, finishing 10th sort of proportions. The new owner has basically handed him the keys to the kingdom this summer.I think a lot of it comes back to people's views on Tuchel. Yeah this could happen. Spurs might be the one to have a go at the title.Due to the mid season break and the way fixtures will occur I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone you don’t expect to win the title or be relegated. Not quite as dramatic as the Leicester title win but similar type of season.
If you take us as an example - some of what will be our starters (Sancho, Martial etc) are at this moment in time pretty unlikely to make their WC teams. Three weeks of tactical training with the mastermind that is Ten Hagrid whilst the rest of the top 6 has their attackers swanning off to Dubai for the winter — is the title already in the bag?Due to the mid season break and the way fixtures will occur I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone you don’t expect to win the title or be relegated. Where you think a side will finish (mostly down to the coach) = / = where a side should actually be finishing (owing to the resources spent etc)Arteta should have no pressure given the prediction here. Just like last season everyone predict a 6th placed finish.
Where should Arsenal be finishing based on the talent and quality of the squad?Where you think a side will finish (mostly down to the coach) = / = where a side should actually be finishing (owing to the resources spent etc)
My prediction is the team with less players go all the way in the world cup has advantage.Where you think a side will finish (mostly down to the coach) = / = where a side should actually be finishing (owing to the resources spent etc)
4th-6th imo. Maybe 3rd but I think Spurs are looking a fair bit stronger than you.Where should Arsenal be finishing based on the talent and quality of the squad?
Get in, Utd are gonna piss the league with the rate our players are being dropped from the England squad. My prediction is the team with less players go all the way in the world cup has advantage.
I’d say 4th, personally.Where should Arsenal be finishing based on the talent and quality of the squad?
