@Berbasbullet what did you give for a reason?
Hmmm I think it was other? If that’s an option.@Berbasbullet what did you give for a reason?
Don’t worry mate. It’s a great console regardless of whether it makes noiseNice to see other people are having the issue where the PS5 revs up like it's about to take off for 5 seconds, then immediately goes silent. Thought I had a dodgy one.
May still have, to be honest.
You're right, it is a great console.Don’t worry mate. It’s a great console regardless of whether it makes noise
Sony emailed me back and said it’s a no go, as I bought it over two weeks ago (literally purchased it 15/16 days ago).Just filled out and sent the refund form. Not holding my breath on this one!
Yep, that's what I think is going to happen to me. You have 14 days, and I bought it 15 days ago!Sony emailed me back and said it’s a no go, as I bought it over two weeks ago (literally purchased it 15/16 days ago).
Yep! I’ve replied to the email complaining but don’t see any positive outcomeYep, that's what I think is going to happen to me. You have 14 days, and I bought it 15 days ago!
What a kick in the balls
Received the same e-mail and found the timing weird too. My annual subscription doesn’t get debited till October.Bought a PS5 from Amazon on release date and have now recieved a 25% off code for PS Plus, Strange timing.
It's a matter of legislation eBay and PayPal offer you buyer protection because it's covered under consumer laws etc. The moment any seller requires you to go to WhatsApp or some external communication app and facilitate a transaction exchange it's 100% fraud. The only option I can think of for you to do is perhaps do a chargeback via your bank account.Ok that is good advice. So with this one, when you enquire through WhatsApp the person says to set ut a PayPal (xoom) account which I left my gf to do because she just said it was through PayPal so I thought ok, sounds legit. But there was no way back from there....someone stop them! I just think there must be a way especially as the ebay listing is still up there now.
Same however the noise completely goes when no disk is in the drive.Nice to see other people are having the issue where the PS5 revs up like it's about to take off for 5 seconds, then immediately goes silent. Thought I had a dodgy one.

Can't believe it mate, ordered it yesterday and it dispatched earlier today! Should have it by Friday! Excited is an understatement!!Not to get you hopes up but Very said mine would come on the 10th of December and ended up arriving late November which was a miracle. Could be the same for you if you get lucky.
Seems like they are Very on it... sorry awfulCan't believe it mate, ordered it yesterday and it dispatched earlier today! Should have it by Friday! Excited is an understatement!!
The missus tried with her bank over the phone they said contact PayPal, they said contact xoom, they said too late mate. I've given up and chalked it to experience. It's a matter of legislation eBay and PayPal offer you buyer protection because it's covered under consumer laws etc. The moment any seller requires you to go to WhatsApp or some external communication app and facilitate a transaction exchange it's 100% fraud. Don’t give up like that. Your bank will always say contact PayPal, when it’s a PayPal transaction.Tell your bank you have contacted them and they are not listening. The missus tried with her bank over the phone they said contact PayPal, they said contact xoom, they said too late mate. I'm just pissed it's still up on ebay potentially scamming others.
Unless it was a direct bank transfer you can chargeback just be persistent. If it's a direct bank transfer you are screwedThe missus tried with her bank over the phone they said contact PayPal, they said contact xoom, they said too late mate. I've given up and chalked it to experience.

Ask her to contact her bank's complaints team and they should be more helpful. The missus tried with her bank over the phone they said contact PayPal, they said contact xoom, they said too late mate. I've given up and chalked it to experience.

What is charge back and is that something we can try with her bank, natwestUnless it was a direct bank transfer you can chargeback just be persistent. If it's a direct bank transfer you are screwed
Chargeback is where they reclaim the funds spent on card, if the transaction was a debit/credit card then you can ask your bank to do a chargeback to reclaim the funds. What is charge back and is that something we can try with her bank, natwest
Did you get a response? I’ve replied directly to their email begging@Berbasbullet what did you give for a reason?
Yeah, mate. No diceDid you get a response? I’ve replied directly to their email begging
God damn it I replied twice as they ignored me, I’m not sure pressing the reply button emails them directly or not though? It hasn’t bounced back.Yeah, mate. No dice
They said because their cancellation policy is 14 days and I purchased it 15 days ago they can't help. One fecking day!
Let me know how that email turns out. I May have to try something similar myself

They have escalated my second complaint to a specialist teamThey're not going to change their mind. They have their policy and they're not going to deviate from that. I think it's a bit harsh only being one day over, and also not even downloading the game. But that's their rules, I guess. They're not exactly known for their consumer-friendly, refund policies. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price for it. £37 quid full price, I think.
So that's something to comfort me
This fecking game better be good!
And I bet that "specialist team" will return with the same message! They have escalated my second complaint to a specialist team
Oh yeah i proper expect the same result, I’m just enjoying having a moanAnd I bet that "specialist team" will return with the same message!
Saying that, let me know if you have any joy!
I may have to have mine referred to this specialist team
Ole ole oleeeeee ole oleeeeeAnd I bet that "specialist team" will return with the same message!

Threaten to close your account and take your business elsewhere. Ask them to put a tracer on the funds and do a recallThe missus tried with her bank over the phone they said contact PayPal, they said contact xoom, they said too late mate. I've given up and chalked it to experience.

Oh shitOle ole oleeeeee ole oleeeee
Guess who got a refund!!!
Escalate it!!! Escalate it now! Go on Sony you legends.
Two weeks and one day.Oh shit
So what did you do exactly?
Reply to the email you had?
Edit: Also, how many days was it between you buying the game and then asking for a refund?
Same amount of days as me then. I'll give it a go.Two weeks and one day.
I pressed reply to the email and just said I am highly disappointed, I haven’t even downloaded the game and it only falls one day outside the window, any chance you can make an exception? I am a loyal Sony customer and would expect better treatment and have come away disappointed.
They said it’d be raised to a specialist team and then a couple days later I got the email saying they’ve credited me the money back.
Excellent! To be fair to them they’re legends for doing that when it fell outside the Ts and Cs.Same amount of days as me then. I'll give it a go.
