Yeah, I was the same. Very easy to install but had to watch like two videos of people taking the lid off to make sure I wasn't going to break the panel.
Likewise - the noise it made when the lid came off really scared me too.

Installed my new 2TB drive yesterday and had the same experience. Tried for at least 5 minutes without success and feeling like I was going to snap the thing, and then I must have gotten it right because the thing came off without any fuss all of a sudden. Same experience putting it back on tbh.

Throwing a dozen or so games on the drive after felt great - I can't wait to spend my time booting up a bunch of games for 30 mins apiece instead of actually getting stuck into one :D

I'm using the excellent processing power of my PS5 to play Dark Cloud 2. It looks amazing.

Is this through Premium or did you purchase it? Just wondering if there's a difference, like maybe you get save states via Premium but not without it? I've always wanted to try this game.

Through premium. It just emulates a memory card for you

It's always annoying when a Pro version comes out, I've managed to resist them so far though.

It definitely won't be a "4K ray tracing monster" considering that GPU's costing £1,200 aren't that and it uses an AMD chip. It'll be interesting what they do attempt with it though.

I thinks it’s early given that games have really only just started being developed for the PS5, rather than PS4 and PS5.

Hopefully it doesn’t become as ridiculous trying to get hold of one!

I’ve never given a single crap about ray tracing. Never worth the performance hit, I have a decent PC and don’t think I‘ve bothered with it once after the initial release.

The pro will do incredibly well with GTA 6 coming out. They released red dead 2 around the time we got the One X and it was incredible on that system

Glad they’re improving the loading times. I’ve been really sick of waiting 6 seconds for it to cold start and load a game.

I don’t even think I’ve even played a game yet that’s pushed the ps5 that hard?

This thing will probably cost €800 or something silly.

I mean considering that you have to pick between quality and performance on many games it must be pushing the PS5 hard

With the Pro you would probably have quality level graphics but at 60fps not 30.

Anyway, I think I'll get this for GTA6 which I assume will be 30fps on PS5

A fair point but I guess I just remember playing games on my ps4 that seemed to push it to the absolute limit of what it could do whereas it feels like we haven’t gotten to that point yet this generation? I mean only recently publisher (including Sony) have stopped releasing games on the ps4 too.

I had to laugh at that too.

Loading times are actually too good these days, can't even nip for a piss, or to make a cuppa, grab a can, grab a snack and you're loaded in and dead ffs

Quality time
The worst "snipers" anyone has ever seen, end up running around a map with machine guns and pistols trying to escape zee Germans who spotted us. Eventually escape, to see an enemy and be like "I can snipe him" miss the snipe by a mile and repeat the process. those games are massively underrated

Nioh 2, what a game.
Yeah, a decent improvement over the first game, which was already pretty good. Level design is still a weak point but the combat is just so good. Incredibly responsive, loads of options, some excellent enemy design. I'll probably put another 100+ hours into Wo Long at some point.

My wrapped has made me realise i play far far too much FIFA. It isn't even that good, yet month on month it monopolises my time!
