Should be in talks with him right now and start preparing for summer transfer targets with him.

We might not get the option - maybe not probable but would it not be possible for Arsenal to shunt Wenger upstairs if they don't win the league, and Jose might just get the chance of another top London club.

Mourinho managing Arsenal with Wenger ahead of him at board level??? Hell freezing over I'd say

Strangely I think we need to give LVG two more seasons. Are we desparate and cheap enough to get a Chelsea coach?
At this point I seriously believe people like you are saying these things as a means of "virtue signaling". You want to show everyone that you're a better fan and we're a better club, morally superior to all the others because we do things differently, like giving a manager more time after he has proven time and time again to be completely out of his depth. It's all a load of bullshit really.

Arsenal and Mourinho actively hate each other. He'd never be given nor take the Arsenal or Liverpool jobs.

Mourinho is more likely to manage Barca than he is Arsenal. They abhor him.

The meltdown in here if that happens will be epic. Not that I can blame them mind.

He'll be here 100% next season. The board can't afford to feck around next season, because it will cost us a lot of money with the Adidas deal if we fail to qualify for the CL.

Jose to Portugal is probably just Mendes trying to accelerate the United deal.

If he doesn't want to uproot his family, international management makes sense. It's basically a paid holiday for most of the year, and when he actually has to work in the summer his kids are on vacation anyway.

Good life.

To be honest, if he reports Mourinho to Portugal I would simply see it as a tactic to push United along.

I can see him managing them in a few years but theres no way I can see Mourinho leaving club management like he did. He'll want to turn that around.

He told Sky Sports about his desire to keep his family in London and they were at an age when they needed stability etc..
He threw in a 'He doesnt know where football will take him' but you couldnt expect anything less tbh.

This happens then what? Poch? He'll stay at Spurs.. Giggs? Give me a break.
I'd take mid table mediocrity over "a chance of success" with Mourinho for 2-3 years. (there is no way he stays any longer than that)

There have to be other competent managers who can take a side with crazy resources and make them decent... till we find someone better.

It's inevitable when there is so much weight of a story but no official confirmation that somebody will throw a spanner in the works to sell a story. Happens a lot at United since Woodward took over, with the constant dithering and complete silence until the end of a process.

I'm still trying to figure out why Pochettino would come to us. Spurs are playing better than us and he will be in the CL next season. We need him more than he needs us.
