Really really pleased. We weathered the storm in the first half an hour and everyone played their part in a really determined, grinded out win.

Unbelieveable that we managed to win that after the first 30 minutes.

40 injuries and counting and we're still in the top 4. Title it out of sight but just got to keep Champions League spot in sight.

I think we deserved to win considering the injuries, arsenal had better chances but they failed as they usually do to make the best out of it, we've held our own the second half and managed to score.

I was impressed with Fellaini to be honest. Did his job and was an absolute twat all game, really fractured Arsenal's game at times and gave them something to worry about when the ball was in the air. Complete nuisance.
He was impressive. But it would have been nice to have someone like Herrera in there to help settle the game down because we were abysmal in possession today.

McNair paused. De Gea out of position. Other than that I think our 145th defence pairing did great.

DDG is a GOD

But after that match, i'm just thankful that Arsenal are more useless than Utd.

We were mostly poor and devoid of ideas on the ball, but thanks to Arsenal being crap in front of goal, the mighty Dave and a wicked deflection we got the game to the point where we could use the counter and did so effectively, Di Maria should have finished it off with his chance.

Pretty tumescent to watch, 3 points or not, the midfield offers so very little and for a large portion of the game we wasted Rooney while RvP offered the sweet sum of zero. Di Maria had his best game for a while and I thought Smalling was solid, while Rooney showed a calm head when it was needed and led by example with his discipline when asked to do a job that wasted his talents.

We were poor, Arsenal were worse. It's one of those strange unwritten rules of football - no matter how shit we are, they're even more shit. Always and forever.

As shit as United were, Arsenal should really have put away at least one of the many chances they had in the first half. United had one shot on target and scored it. Though to be fair, we had King Dave in goal.

We would still win against Arsenal if we fielded Fergie's grandkids.

Fantastic win:cool:

And David De Gea is a god among men. There's no other way of describing him. He won the game for us today. He was unbelievable.

Absolutely unbelievable how we won that today. Arsenal got mugged so many times on the counter but we conceded dozens of chances. It's amazing how they only managed to score until the very end.

First 30 minutes was awful-Arsenal should have run us off the field. Got back in the game. Defended well with the lead and Rooney was clinical. Nice seeing Smalling playing big. Arsenal are terrible, but still-3 points on the road is a great result. Think Wilson needs to get more playing time if Falcao can't play. His addition of pace up top is noticeable.

That fist half an hour was horrid but after that we held Arsenal off almost Fergie style, hitting them on the break really was a sight to behold.

That Di Maria miss was.... something else though.

Everyone played their part today apart from Van Perise. Defensively we were rock solid throughout the game. Even during the first half an hour we weathered the storm well. It doesn't matter how you win, you just have to win.

Delighted to get the points but there is no chance in hell that United deserved anything from that game.

Arsenal battered us and the result only tells a story of their failings. We were 1-0 up with 0 shots on target. Arsenal threatened to punish us and failed to do so on every single attack. Their movement tore us apart every time. we could have had no complaints if they scored 5. It was an awful display but for David De Gea, who further established his reputation as the best Man Utd player since Fergie retired by a scary margin.

That result could be a serious contender for the least deserve points in Premier League history. A draw flattered is never mind all 3.

Arsenal got mugged in daylight robbery .... But that's what happens when you rely on bambi legs Welbeck to lead the line and jack the supposed powerhouse running your midfield.

We were lucky, but fully deserved our win because we wanted the win more, because of our decimation in defence injuries, and because we kept battling.

Smalling, McNair, Fellaini, Rooney all put his good performances and DdG was world class and easily MoM.

Psychologically massive, given its an away win against a big team, and that despite a new manager and philosophy, all the new signings and the unprecedented injury crisis, somehow we've managed to crawl into 4th.

Season slowly taking shape. Just need more quality players to get fit and stay so!

4th in the league after that start of the season. Christ

What a game though, can't stop laughing. All over the place the first half an hour or so, didn't look like the players knew where to play. After that we looked decent, especially considering the defensive players on the pitch. I have to admit, I like the look of Young on the wing back - seems like that position really suits him. DDG an absolute monster, what a player.

We beat Arsenal at the Emirates...
We're back into the top 4 for god knows how long...
We witness the return of Own Goal...
Today is a good day!
This. After first 30 mins i didn't know how we will win it but i know we will.

And i think this is one of the last games RVP have started. When Falcao wil be back he will start ahead of RVP no questions.

In hindsight it was the perfect away performance against Arsenal.

Sit back and hit them on the break.

We were shit for 30 mins but once we organized our defense we hit them on the break quite well.

Definition of smash and grab, but I'm so happy right now :)

Room for improvement is there, our next two games are at home. We can definitely restart the recovery process from here.
