It was a bit of a freak.Reminded me of the City game at City, where every shot seemed to go in.
About two or three of those goals today should not have went in.
Anyhow we need a reaction on thursday and at the weekend.
Same here. I feel our players for many years have this superiority complex because they play for Manchester United which is bigger than pool and is the biggest club in the country. They get the most attention, they get paid the highest wages and all that. They are never focused on the challenge itself and are ready to die against Liverpool like those scouse bastards are for some reason. We need to stop playing Weghorst from the start. We're shoehorning him in to play Bruno and Rashford in 2 positions they're worse in.
It's just stupidity from ETH despite the good job he's done. He has to take the biggest blame for that. He needs to cut it out.
It's annoying to me, but I always feel this game means more to the Liverpool players than the United players and it's felt that way for years and years now. You just can't be losing 7-0 to your biggest rivals as professionals. The effort/pride today was an utter disgrace from every single player.
Playing bad and losing is fine. Playing with no professionalism/effort and getting destroyed 7-0 at Anfield is unacceptable.
Not sure that will help the next game much, we already look battered. These feckers who played today should be doing laps around Carrington under floodlights tonight. Made to run themselves into ground until they throw up then they will know how we're feeling
Yea and then there must have been about six missed tackles for their second goal just after half time. A comedy of errors. Murphys law today. It was a bit of a freak.
Like when Shaw boots a clearance into their man and it drops perfectly for Salah 2 yards out.
Or the one McTom had 2 deflections on that dropped spark for Salah to lash in again.
Dalot being behind the line totally all at sea probably the absolute peak of ludicrousness.
Well bit more damage won't hurtNot sure that will help the next game much, we already look battered.
Think you will find this is in our heads for however long it takes us to give them a hiding either at Old Trafford/Anfield. Only time we did them was 4-0 in 2003 and that took two red cardsWish a lot of you would grow up. The most important is to forget about this and move on. Let this get inside our heads and its season over stuff. There were so many mistakes today that no one could have foreseen. There is no re- managing that second half. Liverpool could have hit the corner post and it would have went in. We are still in massive re-build in Ten hag's image, yeah we got giddy as Keane would say, but reality hit us in one half. Get back on the horse and reset and go again. The most important is a top 4 and Glaziers selling and no matter if we had won 7-0 today, those are the two most important things at the start of this season. We will continue to fight forest fires if we don't get both. I bet you when the dust settles he has learnt more today than in the last 10 games. Do yourselves a favour and ignore tv and radio until kick off on Thursday night and even the Europa League is now a free hit at the reset button.
If you squint at the scoreline it looks almost like 1-0. Which isn't so bad.
It seems that our excellent run of results and coming from behind affected our common sense. It's like we thought we are coming back from 3-0.This is genuinely one of those games where it actually affects my mood for a day or two. After last year, I thought it couldn't get worse but it did today. We cared, we hoped and we got demolished worse than last year.
I'm genuinely furious but I cannot understand how we didn't tighten at the back at 3-0 o 4-0. What did we think was going to happen?
Yeah meant across Old Trafford & Anfield11-0 only. The 5-0 was at Old Trafford.
Not sure if that makes it better or worse.
Worse …if that’s possible11-0 only. The 5-0 was at Old Trafford.
Not sure if that makes it better or worse.
Laughable how disgraceful that was, they will be crowing about this for decades and rightly soStill can't fecking believe this. 7-0?!? Really!?
Rarely has our club been more embarrassed than this. Utterly fecking shameful.
Sourness thinks the score didn't flatter them. Despite having about 8 shots on target and scoring 7,Yea and then there must have been about six missed tackles for their second goal just after half time. A comedy of errors. Murphys law today.
Anyhow, we need a reaction on thursday.
well they got 5 put past them at home just the other day so yes it isSo 7-2 against Villa not 7-0 against us then? Alright. Did klopp also lost to city 6-3 few months back in the same season? To Brentford 4-0 too? No? Okay. Not same then, is it?
We definitely bought into our own hype. If it was OT against a crap team, we could have done something but this is away against a top team.It seems that our excellent run of results and coming from behind affected our common sense. It's like we thought we are coming back from 3-0.
If it's on ETH on the players is difficult to guess but everything we done on the pitch, leaving luck aside, was to their advantage.
What's more shocking is that it was 11 vs 11, in other drubbings we were a man down, Evans, Pogba, Martial got sent off against City, Pool or Spurs.Still can't fecking believe this. 7-0?!? Really!?

Yep and the only way to silence it will be to do the same to them.Laughable how disgraceful that was, they will be crowing about this for decades and rightly so
Half of them are the reason we are 3rd with silverware and knocking out BarcelonaNot just because of today but in general -
De gea (the panic starts with him)
Dalot
Awb
Maguire
Lindelof
Fred
Mctominay
Bruno
Martial
Last chance for Sancho next season
Not gonna happen but this lot needs to feck off.
Absolutely spot on, which I commented on earlier. Why is it nonsense? Fatigue has an enormous impact on the level of a player. We are the only team in the Premier League that has competed in every possible game so far, which is going to have a major impact. Liverpool, on the other hand, went out of the cups and looks to be going out of the Champions League. They have had a much easier ride.
You could see in the game today that some of them could barely run. Also, fatigue doesn't just affect physicality but also mentality, which will explain the enormous amount of poor decision making and sheer sloppiness from every player on the pitch.
I would say Ten Hag needs to give them a rest, but the squad is very limited in depth. This is why anyone legitimately believing we were in the title race were fooling themselves; we just don't have the depth for it. Even our first 11 needs changes, particularly in attack.
Same. At some point have some fecking pride. We utterly dominated English football for 20 years yet never came close to embarrassing Liverpool like this during that time. Because they had that pride, no matter how shite they were. Also for me it felt like there was no shame or pride out there at all. Basic feckin survival instincts should surely have kicked in.
At 3 nil I was thinking, don't embarrass yourselves any more...
Yeah they were very clinical. Of course its down to shoddy defending too, but god damn they didnt give us a chance. Very bad day, just fecked up it had to be against pool.It really wasn't a 7-0 game,
8 shots on target, 7 goals,
Sometimes football happens like this, the simple fact is we hit a wall today against a team that were ruthless.
It's a good wake-up call, just a shame it had to be against the scum.
Get them lights on at CarringtonOur biggest defeat under Sir Alex was a 6-1 loss against City if I recall correctly. This is just another level. Hopefully not a sign of things to come. Hard to blame a single player when the whole team were horrendous for that second half
Yup, funny how people were claiming Maguire was our issue, yet we concede 7 like that today without him. Defensively poor.Yeah they were very clinical. Of course its down to shoddy defending too, but god damn they didnt give us a chance. Very bad day, just fecked up it had to be against pool.
I'm surprised very few mention this, we also could of scored 1-2 from the chances created. It really wasn't a 7-0 game,
8 shots on target, 7 goals,

It was never going to be easy but I don’t think it was a hopeless case to try and stop them getting the ball through the midfield. Hasn’t everyone been saying all year that their midfield is poor? I would have played 3 in MF and remind them that their MF ain’t all that.We were always going to come under pressure against Liverpool at Anfield. And the way we've been playing of late meant Fred was always going to be favoured over Sabitzer. The only thing he could've done differently was to play a midfield three of Sabitzer, Fred and Casemiro. But like I've said, the aim isn't to build the play through thirds due to the clear weaknesses we have in the team.
We could've had a 3 man midfield and we'd still be ceding possesion due to some of the weaknesses in our players. And it doesn't really matter who plays or how the team is setup imo, because you can't make the mistakes Fred and Shaw made, which gifted Liverpool a two goal lead.
