Good win, certainly progress made this year in terms of results, but the performances really need to improve. We lacked any semblance of urgency the entire second half and let them back in it.

Second half was weirdly like an inversion of a classic Fergie-Wenger United-Arsenal tie. We had all the ball, attacked pretty much nonstop, lots of neat and tidy passing without much cutting edge, and they got the goal.

Shit performance to be honest. What pisses me off about us is that we're capable of playing well. We are capable of showing urgency, attacking quickly, creating chances, etc., but we don't do anything until we suddenly realize that we might get embarrassed and then the urgency steps up. Obviously last 10 minutes are a scramble, but there's a middle ground between the last 10 minutes of that game and the remaining 80 minutes of doing feck all and being way too casual and showing very little attacking intent.

This was a shit Arsenal side, one focused on a Europa League semi final and fully rotated. And we're at Old Trafford, supposedly full of confidence. It was shite. But we got the win which is the main thing in the end.... But the problem with us under Mourinho is that's all we'll ever be able to say. "Played shit, got the win just about". Yeah sorry if I'm not thrilled with that.
