Excellent for most of the game, and fantastic from Ole. Took our goals well in the first half, and then subbed on the youngsters at the right time to kill the game off. Bailly gets crucified around here but I thought he was excellent today.

Was our best defender tonight for me aswell.

8/8? what's so fuss about? Paul Ince can achieve this in a wink.... by doing nothing! just like that!

Couldn't watch the game. What happened in the end when Rash received a yellow?

Love it:

Honestly, to me that was Solksjaer beating Emery more than any single player or area winning the game for United. We were killed by the baby face assassin.

Any team in the world has to fear our attack now. We have become absurdly clinical in both finishing and our counter set up. Ole has given the boys the faith to always have a strong outlet for the counter at all times.

It made arsenal more hectic and desperate in their attacks because they always worried that martial, pogba, lingers, Sanchez, lukaku and rashford are ready to tear them apart the moment they lose the attack.

Great stuff

It's bizarre how we go to the Emirates almost every year with this game plan, and almost every year we get a good result.

How have they not worked it out yet?
:lol::lol: I'll never know. I thought it was a Wenger-thing but no, history still repeats itself.

Seems hoofing to Lukaku is even banned. :D

This is the biggest change. We are not playing hoofball even to counter, all the passes are on ground and with proper plan.

Good win.

Very underwhelming Pogba. I counted about 4 through balls he could of played through to Lingard and Rashford 2nd half, but decides to keep the ball and lose it.
Had a couple of moments when he could have released it sooner but he was imperious in the second half. Some of his touches were on a different level.

Hats off to our attack and Ole for showing its quality. We were poor going forward for years but I think many here felt our personnel in this area was extremely impressive and it was being held back by the collective. Now we're seeing it happening - Lukaku, Sanchez , Martial, Rashford, Lingard and Mata supported by Pogba is a very very good forward line.

That was a fantastic watch. Honestly I felt slightly disappointed by our approach in the first half at how deep we sat and allowed Arsenal to dominate the ball. But given the amount of times we cut through them post the half hour mark, you can't argue with the tactics. And our breaks - now that was impressive. The way we drove forward and created three on three or similar situations must have been frightening for the arsenal defence.

Who did well and not? Couldn't catch the game. Did we dominate? Played well?

I thought the goal we conceded was very poor. Other than that my main complaint is we should have scored 4 or 5 with the number of breaks we had in the second half.

I thought the ref was pretty poor. Pogba was fouled consistently throughout the game. Maybe his size and strength mask it to some extent. But if Saint Pep had just seen Silva kicked about like that he would be crying about how his players need more protection.

Anyway, 3-1 away at Arsenal - OGS has restored the natural order.

I thought we were in cruise control until the 2nd goal. Complacent was the word that flash into my mind and Pogba was having a touch too many. Everyone seemed to have slowed down allowing Arsenal to walk the ball into the net. After conceding the goal I thought we were much better. Woke up a bit and Arsenal wasn't given much chances at all. I also thought Pogba was pretty smart at that point, allowed them to foul, stopped the game and wasted another few minutes. Just Rashford and Lingard were a bit stupid.

Steady on. Arsenal defended poorly, and Ole/Phelan got their tactics spot on.

But we still have much, much work to do. Tremendous win of course, as Ole said, we looked like a team.. clear plan. Defensively we are getting there, Romero was superb, superb, what a 'second keeper'. Shaw is growing in strength and his game is having a greater clarity. Let's keep him fit..he is v young and should be a powerhouse of a full back. His work for our third was terrific to observe. He made that goal. Want to see him hitting the bye-line and crossing regularly. We need that.

My concern is lack of quality midfielders. We seem to have three that we trust. This is a problem.

Wait.. Could Ole actually be the real deal? Putting on two young strikers while in the lead? That's real deal type stuff, isn't it? Loving Ole right now!

Anyone see him on Football Focus last week? He was so unimpressed with what OGS has done, it was pathetic.

However, he then got complatly schooled in his anysis by the other pundit. Ince was full of clichés, and came across as out of touch. She was insightful and articulate. You could see on Ince's face he knew he was out of his depth. It was very enjoyable to watch. I don't know what her name is, but she's a regular on the BBC.

Clearly OGS is not just a family entertainer who goes around making everyone smile.

Two fantastic away wins against sides who are better at keeping the than we are. So he set the side up to exploit their weaknesses on the counter. Well done OGS.

We can't win every game (can we!!!), but this notion that he's just a cheerleader must surely be dispelled now. There will be tougher tests ahead. Teams will not want to play is now - that was not the case with Jose.

I think you are talking about Alex Scott.

Yes that's her - refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Ince comes across as the annoying bloke in the pub who thinks he knows it all, but is actually clueless. He's worse than Souness and Redknapp.

We had multiple good performers today, took atleast a couple of mins for me to pick the man of the match. Very balanced performance and comfortable win.

I've been crying out to see Lukaku played on the right since he signed and I feel like last night vindicated all my whining!

He whinges a lot, and is v annoying. I can clearly see why he would never make a decent manager, he's so aggressive, lacks patience, and belligerent. But.. I couldn't say he is clueless, because it's often an issue of how he says things, rather than what he says.

The two most pleasing things about last night:

The icy calmness when starting the counter, you could see that while some were bombing forward the likes of Pogba who were building the move were taking a second to scour for the best option - I’m convinced Ole has drilled this into them as I’ve not seen us do it under Mourinho and it’s a sign of good coaching

The performance of our centre backs - we looked so much more solid than before, and both Bailly and Lindelof who looked like complete calamities were cool and collected. Both continuing to show as well their ability to play out from the back. The main concern about Ole was his defensive nous but we’re looking much stronger overall than under Mourinho at the back.

Also, and this is going to sound demented, there are days when I wonder if we’re better off with Romero in goals. He’s capable of the odd wonder save but he’s hardly ever having having to make them, nor is he conceding much. Why is that? Better command of his area? Less complacency from our defenders? Weaker opposition maybe, but you can’t say that about last night.

Main downside about last night was our full backs. Love Ashley Young for his effort and passion but he shouldn’t be the starting right back of a top team. Luke Shaw I’m worried about, his positioning sometimes is absurd and he seems to switch off in the box too often.

We look like an elite, world class team. Makes me proud.

Look like we could score on most attacks.

Can’t fault anyone last night, the defence looked much improved from the Spurs game when we used a similar tactic, Arsenal for all their possession & territory must have only created 1 or 2 real chances bar their goal.

Midfield worked hard Pogba the driving force of our counter attacks, he was immense in that 2nd half, looked like a man vs children strolling past the Arsenal players

Every attack played their part in our counter attacks great, all worked hard, were quick, powerful & clinical

The lads were superb. Even players who’ve taken a lot of flak like Lingard and Lukaku played pretty well. Pogba wasn’t carrying us either, it was nice to see we can make up for that if he’s not having his best game and still come through it with a great team performance.

Under Jose, Pogba would have been hauled off at half time.

Think Ole just told him to keep on doing what he does best and start driving at their centre.Arsenal couldn't handle him in the second half

I’m impressed with how well we seem to be coached now compared to under Jose as well. We’re moving the ball well, with so much more speed and purpose. Arsenal couldn’t live with that. We countered on them half a dozen times, defended well and were clinical as hell. Perfect away tactics and performance really.
