Arsenal run out 2:0 winners, inflicting the first Premier League defeat of Ole Gunnar Soslkjaer's reign and denting our top four chances.

It turned out to be one of those days for us as we had a number of good chances to score but we just couldn't put the ball in the net. Lukaku in particular had three really good openings but couldn't finish as clinically as he has been doing in recent games. Perhaps we used up all of our good fortune of Wednesday in Paris. So be it, that's football.

Arsenal started the game better and took the lead through Xhaka's long range effort which wrong footed De Gea and went in very softly. We were on top in the first 25 minutes of the second-half but couldn't take our chances and Arsenal punished us, winning a penalty and Aubameyang scoring to put the game beyond us.

The Gunners move above us into fourth with a two point lead. Chelsea meanwhile are just a point behind us in fifth with a game in hand but at least they dropped two points today. Tottenahm are in the mix now too with their recent slump in form. So it's really heating up in the race for Champions League football with four teams battling for third and fourth.

Arsenal 1:0 Man Utd - Xhaka (12')

Arsenal 2:0 Man Utd - Aubameyang (69' pen)

Really don't think Ole did much wrong. We had our chances, they had a soft penalty; these results happen.

Knew that was going to happen. Impossible to take out the euphoria of Paris game and play yet another big game in few days.

We badly need the international break.

soft pen. They had a lot of luck on their side today - we started very slowly but were better after the first half hour. On to the next one - top 4 will be difficult with our comparative fixtures. Have to really hope Spurs bottle it.

Meh. Had this feeling before the game. We hadn't recovered from the Paris hangover.

One game too far for us.

We didn't play well at all yet both goals were a complete joke and we could feasibly have scored 2 or 3 ourselves... just a weird game all round.

Best players for us were our full-backs.

We didn't do much wrong after the first 30 minutes. Just individual errors that cost us.

Still plenty of time for Arsenal to feck it up.

Rashford had an off day; Lukaku was immense but just couldn't get the good finish

Just one of those days.

Arsenal deserve the win purely for handling our attack with ease and then getting some fortune up top.

No need to cry about anything in a major way (you lot will though).

That said, thought Rashford and Pogba were both very poor today.

Shame, thought we actually weren't bad today. One swervy long range shot and a soft penalty = loss. We didn't take our chances today but maybe we were due a game like that.

One of those days I think.

Uncharacteristic mistake from De Gea. Dive for a penalty and Lukaku missing a hat-trick of pretty score able chances. Annoying, but it happens.

De Gea's fault. It happens, the most important thing is how we will respond.

How Rashford survived that for 90 mins..

Game of fine margins and it fell for Arsenal. Move on to the next game now. BIG away game against Wolves

Hope, We Lose
Had plenty of luck during our recent run of success, bad luck today. De Gea will blame the wind and I can only presume Lacazette will also blame the wind for being blown to the ground. Because it wasnt Fred

Shit happens.

We pick ourselves up and go forwards like we did in the last dozen games.

Every team has these days, we are still within a win of top4.

We were emotionally drained after the PSG game. It's what happens when you have a relatively small squad to pick from.

With more options, we'd have been able to freshen things up a bit more.

Oh, well... we're still in it.

A mixture of poor decisions and unlucky decisions cost us tonight, I didn't think we deserved to lose but that's football. Plenty more games to go.

No doubt a ton of posts will blame Ole but he did not cause Rashford to make shite passes, or DDG to move the wrong way, or Lukaku to miss sitters and hit the crossbar.

Lucky pen and even luckier shot getting shifted by the wind

Many will complain about John Moss, but honestly the real culprit is Lukaku tonight. Should have had 2.

One of those days, missed loads of chances and conceded two shit goals. We only have ourselves to blame.

Given their easier run-in (on paper), this has significantly damaged our chances of finishing above Arsenal, though not necessarily of finishing in the top four, provided Spurs' wobble continues.

We had decent patches of control - especially late in the first half.
