Leicester City are punching above their weight, that’s the difference. £400 million spent and we’re possibly a top 4 club and not a title contender. The fact that it’s even a debate who’s better is comical. Rodgers is the superior manager by far, has the record to prove it and trophies to his resume. He’s also taken a team closer to the title than Ole ever could. No, I mean the bottler who despite spending - what? - 80+% of each of the last 2 seasons in the top 4 has thrown it away at the end. And the manager who looks even less equipped at handling Europe than our current one.
By your logic Arteta would be an improvement too.
I have been Ole in for a long time and he will always be a legend but he is losing me. I can’t believe why he keeps play Fred. I can understand Fred of last season but this year so far he has been absolutely terrible. I don’t mind if DVB goes in Jan but he certainly can’t do worse than Fred right now. McT is what he is and at least offers physicality. I really worry for Ole because during the international break the pressure is really going to build and we now have a tough slate of games coming up. What is obvious is that he can’t keep going like this. Not sure he realises that the midfield is supposed to link the defence with the attack. Problem is our midfield links the wrong attack.
I liked how United played today. Long may this continue.
There are still many more games to go. Do not despair.
Or do, if your passion is whining.
If our players go away and perform well in cohesive units then people will ask why he cannot get a consistant tune out of them.I have been Ole in for a long time and he will always be a legend but he is losing me. If that had been Scotty on Gray, the guy would have been shoved into the crowd...I have been Ole in for a long time and he will always be a legend but he is losing me. Probably Ronny saying to Ole “I want in”. Cavani should have never came off as he was pressuring the defence. People say we are not scoring but we were creating chances, and our defence was not that bad. What is clear as day is that our midfield was not good enough again, both offensively and defensively. OGS must stop persisting with McFred. That paring is not working this year.Martial had a knock I think. Shame as he was playing well, saw plenty of the ball in the first half.
No idea about Cavani though.
Why are you watching Goldbridge and then complaining about it?Gotta love Goodridge's reaction - point out Ole's mistakes for half hour yet say Ole out is not a discussion as it won't happen. Ya but it SHOULD happen.
He never mentions what he thinks
should happen to Ole because he's too scared to say a legend should be sacked.
Too much top reddery. Ole will always be a legend no matter what.
that last line speaks volumes...Leicester City are punching above their weight, that’s the difference. £400 million spent and we’re possibly a top 4 club and not a title contender. FYI, that shower of shite Arsenal are 2 points behind us with a win today.
umm who is Goldbridge? Why are you watching Goldbridge and then complaining about it?
Goldbridge is a nobody. His opinion has no impact on anything apart from you apparently.
After having played Chelsea, Spurs and City no less.that last line speaks volumes...
Before this season there were obvious gaps in our team. As much as Glazers are loathsome and for obvious selfish preservation they backed OGS this summer. I hate to say it but whether is tactics, coaching or just getting consistency out of players, OGS is coming off as lacking. Can we find him a Queiroz or Meulensteen fast…. This team with this talent should not be playing this badly. If our players go away and perform well in cohesive units then people will ask why he cannot get a consistant tune out of them.
You tuber.umm who is Goldbridge?
If they won't sack him they have to do something along those lines. All of them are out of their depth. Before this season there were obvious gaps in our team. Southampton down to ten men as well now.I'm watching Chelsea V Southampton now. 70mins in and it's 1-1 at the Bridge. Let's see how Tuchel does in comparison to Ole.
Straight away, Chelsea have tactical subs made and are looking threatening. My feeling is that they will score.
Well that slightly wrecks my experiment. Thanks Ward-ProwseSouthampton down to ten men as well now.
Could be right. Cavani changed it on Wednesday too putting pressure on defence, Ronaldo won't do that.Probably Ronny saying to Ole “I want in”. Cavani should have never came off as he was pressuring the defence. People say we are not scoring but we were creating chances, and our defence was not that bad. What is clear as day is that our midfield was not good enough again, both offensively and defensively. OGS must stop persisting with McFred. That paring is not working this year.
Also, if you have Cavani and Ronaldo on at the same time, the defence has two world-classers to deal with - worked on Wednesday night. I simply don't believe that Cavani isn't fit enough to play 90 mins. He looks as fit as ronnieRonaldo has been brilliant but the bigger picture is there's an ego there that Ole doesn't have the experience in managing, and from the outside it looks like its having a negative effect on the team overall.
The Cavani substitute today was a strange one for example, for me he was our biggest threat and was working so hard leading the line, even if the plan was to introduce Ronaldo at some point, to do it after 55 minutes, was clearly bowing down to the fact that Ole feels like he must have Ronaldo on the pitch and Cavani was visibly annoyed at being subbed so early. I thought it was disrespectful so he must have felt the same. Also Pogba in mid-week was also visibly annoyed at being subbed off, clearly they've all moved down the pecking order, now CR7 is back, and it doesn't look very coherent at all to me.
Each player needs to understand that the club and team are bigger than any individual, and overall I think Ole has done a good job of rebuilding the squad, but I am starting to wonder if the CR7 return could be the downfall of his project..
There's only one way this squad wins the Premier League this season - by bringing in a strong manager, experienced in game management, and adding a killer mentality. No way should Everton have got anything from todays game, but in the end, we are lucky to have got away with a draw. Dont want Ole sacked but...
chelsea ahead... no real surpriseSouthampton down to ten men as well now.
Donny is done and clearly not going to have a career here. Ole is displaying a very stubborn streak which is not serving him well. But maybe he can at least put DVB in the shop window and at least see for a couple of games whether DVB can cut it. I have no love for DVB because he really hasn’t played enough but for OGS to persist with McFred is actually harming his own interests.Could be right. Cavani changed it on Wednesday too putting pressure on defence, Ronaldo won't do that.
Fred's passing looked good for the first 25/30 minutes, but that's it. Still can't believe Donny couldn't get a game today.
No surprise at all.chelsea ahead... no real surprise
Everton got more from our corner than their own!just seen the stats for the game, we had more than double the amount of possession but only 1 more shot. that's quite damning.

I assume he meant Mark Goldbridge.umm who is Goldbridge?
They scored as a result of one of our corners didn't they? 28% possession and still get 12 chances.just seen the stats for the game, we had more than double the amount of possession but only 1 more shot. that's quite damning.

i don’t think he made one successful tackle or turnover or play all game but for tactical fouling he's top class. Just wasn’t in the right area for that either…If that had been Scotty on Gray, the guy would have been shoved into the crowd...
Good squad and very good atmosphere around the club, but yeah agreed, he's not the one to make them take the next step, sadly. He has to go now. Such a shame as he's built a really good squad but he's not the man to get the most from it
You saying he chicken?i don’t think he made one successful tackle or turnover or play all game but for tactical fowling he's A1!?
