Completely expected, Liverpool came close to exceeding the 4 or 5 goals I predicted.

Serious question. How can ANY fan look at that team we put out today and feel even slightly confident of getting a result? There's supporting the team and there's delusion and a complete lack of logic. A lot of our fans need a reality check.

The fact that Manchester United are fielding an 11 like that at Anfield is inexcusable. We have so many fecking mediocre, mid-table players it's frightening......however, Jose has a hand in that too - he has accrued this squad! He has chosen to show faith in mediocrity and all of his signings have failed to deliver.

It looked like a title contender playing 19th place, and there's no other way to cut it.

No creativity, no ability to even do the basics, a back-line full of panic, and a manager with no idea how to quell the storm.

We are 6th and we are lucky to be 6th. Club is on the precipice.

Shite. We cannot control or pass the ball properly. Not one of our midfielders deserve to be playing for this great club. Terrible.

Mourinho is broken, out of ideas.
The players are broken, out of confidence and joy of playing.
The look on Fergie suggests he is also broken. If we keep playing like this it might actually, literally kill him.

And the board does not think it is a good time to try something else now?

Liverpool started at such fierce pace Man Utd did well to be level at HT. The game was clearly so one-sided a Liverpool win was never in doubt.
That's normally how it goes at Anfield, but we would at least give it a go, today was set to get a draw at best which seems to be standard Mourinho against the big teams in recent years

That went pretty much as expected.A 5-1 win would have been fair .
Lingard is shite.
Lukaku is shite.
Matic is too slow.
Herrera not good enough.
Fellaini is poor but at least he tries his best.
The entire team’s confidence looks shot.
Not all Jose’s fault but he has to go.

£15M a year the manager makes for putting us in this shit. I really want to know how that is done... get massive money for being shit at your job.
No doubt the players don’t like his tactics. He’s bad. It’s been well documented that he does not coach attacking play.

Agree that Jose deserves to go.

Souness on Pogba whem comparing him to Shakiri........"he has a unique set of skills that can set him apart from every midfielder in the PL if he had the correct attitude, but he doesn't have that correct attitude and that's why he's on the bench"
Loathed as I am to agree with anything that Souness says but that is the nail firmly on the head for me.
His attitude and Mourinho's inadequacies point to exactly where are at the moment and nothing will change while those two, and plenty others, remain at OT.

Yup, have to agree with both yourself and the prick Souness.

Stopped watching at 75 mins, when we were a goal down, Liverpool had the ball on the halfway line and EVERY Utd player was literally standing still and watching.

Can you imagine if Mourinho actually got his desired defender? We would be seeing the exact same style of football. Play to not concede and hope to steal a goal on the other end. Ironically we have already conceded more goals this season than the whole of last season :houllier:

Players United have assembled since Fergie along with the Mourinho factor has brought united to where they are i think. It's just not Mourinho, apart from De Gea and Pogba there is hardly a player in united squad who would get into starting line up of Europe's top teams.

I think that’s it for Jose now .
He has been let down horribly by some players but let’s face it the manager ultimately pays the price and we’ve reached the end of the line with top 4 looking impossible.
A change might allow us to bring a couple of players in during the window
To help us try and maintain a top 6/7 position.
The likes of Pogba , Sanchez and Lukaku should hang there heads in shame they have been a disgrace l’msure they will pop the champagne when Jose goes and feel no remorse for how they have let him the club and the fans down .
I blame the players more than Jose but I admit we have no option but to sack him as the situation is now beyond repair it was sad to see fergie in the crowd watching the absolute garbage this once great club was serving up in front of him.
Also saw Woodward covering his mouth and whispering to a distraught looking Bobby charlton .
Woodward is a snake and should accept a large portion of the blame but as long as the club is making money he will be safe ( another couple of seasons out of the the champions lge might change that ) at least for another couple of years.
Jose will be first out let’s hope to god that scum bag Pogba follows him out of the door and takes his pal Lukaku with him.
We are in desperate times the nex 12 months will either give us shoots of recovery or another 10 years of misery will lie ahead of us .

It's the hope that kills you, that period where we'd seen off the storm, and dare to even think, what if we sneak a winner.

Even seeing the tubby wrestler coming on didn't exactly worry, and then he turns it completely. Dreadful

Why is Pogba a "scumbag" out of interest?

I can imagine dear old Bobby being such a gentleman still wouldn't call for Jose sacked even if he believed he shouldn't ever have come in.

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
The score I went for in the predictor, the best we could’ve hoped for without being smashed. You know it’s bad when as a supporter of this club, who used to go toe-to-toe with the very best, a defeat is accepted before a ball is kicked

When the profits decrease and the sponsorships start to dry up ....
I can only hope that the board realise that the longer we are totally crap, the more quickly this will happen. Sadly, the signs aren't good.

Two positives out of this game. I couldn't watch and I got the score prediction right.

Anyone defending Mourinho after today needs go reexamine his or her football club allegiances.

I agree, to think we go to Anfield and turn out that load of shite, it's not the losing, it's how bad that badge was disrespected today.
Piss poor and lazy, they have only themselves to blame on this one. Scum 36 at goal and 6 for the ....... Get real Utd, we should be 100% better than that shite today.

I think it is clear to all that Pogba does not give a fig for the club his manager or the fans all he cares about is self publicising and picking up his obscene wages whilst putting in as little effort as possible

Team actually worked hard today. It’s just too bad the quality wasn’t there. One team actually played with one mind while the other just played as individuals. I think you can attribute that to the respective managers. Can’t even blame the players because that score line should have been more embarrassing. What they were missing was a game plan from the manager on how to counter attack and win instead of hoping for a lucky break.

I’ve checked out for a while now and just casually watch games in the background. Not much you can do at this point but whether the storm and wait for mourinho’s sacking. Will also note that I can’t blame the board if they decide to wait till the end of the season because I really don’t want mourinho getting any richer after what he has put us through.

I have no idea how you go into a game with midfielders who can't create chances. I'd love to know how many goals have been assisted by Matic and Herrera at United. I'm sure they will be paltry. Then you bring on Fellaini who is also inept who specialises with 5-yard safe passing.

It's not just Pogba who's being dishonest or cheating the fans. Mourinho with his team selection is more guilty.
