A few counter attacks with missed chances but otherwise the same dross against a terrible side.

Where on earth were Dalot and Varane for the goal?

We've gone from having a pretty deep squad to being threadbare in the space of a couple of weeks. Nothing against the guy, but Mata should be nothing more than a cheerleader at this point.

We played well for most of the game, but that should be expected against a 2nd tier team. But our finishing was just shocking.

Shootouts are ace, except when we're involved in them, then feck them forever.

Rangnick is as useless as Ole. His first match against Palace there was positive signs. After that it's been complete garbage football. Complete and utter garbage. He talked a lot and hyped himself up but he's had no impact at all. We are still just as useless. No intensity, no improvement in the attack. Just boring toothless football. Hope he does better for the rest of the season.

Only we could score 18 of our last 20 shootout pens and lose both.
Haha. Unbelievable. Does feel like the club is cursed at the minute. Doesn’t matter if it’s penalties, ‘star’ signings that we turn to mud, 150 corners without scoring…

We hit the bar 1min in, and were absolutely cruising at 1-0 up and should have scored 8 or 9.

That handball was a disgrace, but we still should have had more than enough to put that away.

Only tiny consolation is not being at the game, 11pm, pouring rain, and having a miserable slog back to the station and to some dive of a hotel, facing a 4hour drive the next day!
Small mercies.

I don't care what the consensus is, Ronaldo is the problem. Collectively we are worse off with him in the team. Now after the fit he threw at the Brentford game Ragnick is too chicken to sub him off and the team suffers. I can't wait till he goes.

To say we were robbed would be the understatement of the century.

Shocking stuff.
We weren't robbed.
We had 120 minutes to score 2 goals and we could not do that.
We should've scored 4+ goals today, but we were impotent in front of goal.

Mata coming on instead of Hannibal is 1000000% inexcusable. Full stop.

Watching Ronaldo now must be like going to Vegas in the '70s to watch Fat Elvis and being underwhelmed. He's just not the same anymore and quite embarrassing.
That's a hugely unfair and frankly outrageous comment.

Elvis was never this immobile.

The problem tonight was having 8 or 9 great chances and only scoring 1.
Mixed in with the nonsense of their goal.

Performance was fine. 99/100 we win that 3-0.

Refereeing decision just abysmal on every level. If that pops up and hits a player's arm anywhere else on the pitch, it's the easiest free-kick in the world to give.

Champions League win it is then. I guess we are not going to be appointing RR full time after this so that will make some happy. Irritating because apart from the dreadful finishing that was a great performance, at least for 75 minutes or so.

I mean its literally in the rules that if you make yourself bigger with your arms out and the ball hits you arm its a handball
There are new rules for accidental handball this season. I am sure someone will post it up.

Just leaves us clear to focus on the bigger competitions like the Champions League and Greenwood’s trial for being a massive sex case.

If you can't beat Boro at home in 120mins with arguably our best team out then we don't deserve to go through. SIMPLE
It’s the FA Cup, this shit happens. We were robbed by a scandalous decision and bad luck. It’s just a shame it had to be Elanga that missed.

And feck Lingard.

The minute Boro brought on KDB disguised as a fellow called Duncan, we should've known we were in trouble
