Only we could score 9 goals and still have a matchday thread full of constant moaners.

Holy crap. That should have been 10 or more if they hadn't started the second half so slowly

That Southampton performance is the most pathetic capitulation I’ve ever seen. Wow.

Good for United, hopefully good for confidence. Shame Mason couldn’t get a boost.

What the actual feck. Almost felt sorry for Southampton near the end, that 9-th goal was brutal as it went in. Also, everyone gets a 10/10 for the first and probably the last time.

Ridiculous refereeing. Thankfully in our favor today but EPL is doing worse with Video Assistance than before they employed the technology

Did the Southampton goalie even do much wrong? I felt bad for him. But so nice to have a game like this after the poor week we've had.

Wasn't easy to play against 10 men when they defend in numbers. Was very good. So proud of the team. Never dropped the intensity till last minute. This is what is required if you want to be champion. No mercy.

Great win, still had to go out and attack despite the ten men. Can’t help but feel bad for Southampton.

If only ever game was that easy. Yes the early sending off helped but United was so ruthless tonight. Biggest margin of victory since 1995 against Ipswich and in truth could or should have beaten that record tonight.

Top scoring team in league right now.

9-0 and it didn't even look like the players were trying for most of the second half.
Could have smashed the record if they really wanted it.
i thought that. It was like training pace. Still a good turkey shoot though!

Why do we always start so slow? Need to be putting these games to rest. Look to vulnerable at the back. Ole waits too long to make his subs. Having Martial up front is like playing with 10 men. We're so boring to watch.

Did I miss anything?

Sorted our goal difference tonight. Most goals scored in the league and same GD as pool. Not too shabby.

Odds were stacked against Soton after min 2, though credit to us for putting them to the sword.

It's 3 points after all.. Would preferred two 1-0 wins vs Sheffield and today instead

Should have got 10 had they actually given the right amount of extra time.

Brilliant! Great game to have after a bit of a dip the last two games.

On another note, VAR needs reworking.

Shaw and Wan Bissaka excellent. That width made everything work.

Finally showed a bit of ruthlessness. Superb result. Need to follow it up against Everton.

Added time at the end of both halves was absolutely scandalous!!
Good win though

Not sure what Southampton were playing at, to be honest. There are plenty of semi-professional teams that would've done a better job with 10 men than that. They were fortunate that the ref took pity on them and didn't play as much additional time as there should've been.

We can only beat what's in front of us and we gave our goal difference a nice boost.

I can't help but thinking really sorry for them.

They have games where they totally implode.

Job done.

I’m enjoying watching us again. We might not win it, we might do. We support the best club in the world! That was Manchester United- crosses, crosses, crosses
