That's the end of our FA Cup run this season. We were never quite at the races today with a very ponderous performance and Wolves punished us for it.

Wolves contained us in the first-half, then upped a gear in the second and we couldn't respond to it. They scored twice in six minutes mid-way through the half to put the match beyond us. First Jimenez caused chaos in our box and scored with a snapshot on the turn and then Jota made it 2:0 with a powerful counter-attack. Rashford got a late late goal in the 95th minute but it was too little too late.

Not a good day for us, probably our poorest performance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and our most likely chance of a trophy gone.

There's an international break now after which we still have top four and a Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona to fight for.

Wolves 1:0 Man Utd - Jimenez (70')

Wolves 2:0 Man Utd - Jota (76')

Wolves 2:1 Man Utd - Rashford (90' + 5)

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Lethargic, little invention, defence couldn't cope with their forwards/spreading the ball, attack couldn't cope with packed opposition in front of goal. Needed quicker attacks.

Not been a huge fan of McTominay but after Liverpool and PSG, no idea why didn't keep his place .... after Matics last two games, still no idea.

Half the team was just back from injury. We lacked the intensity in the final third and after 50-60 mins we started to seriously tire. Nothing major.

Sack Ole, sell half the squad. Start again from scratch. Oh wait, we just had a poor outing.

Poor from the players and Ole. Waiting too long with the subs and made the wrong ones imo. Needed to change formation. Clearly wasn't working going forward. Rashford and Pogba especially rubbish. Lingard totally anonymous. Saving grace is that Lindelof isnt banned for 3 games.

McT should start instead of Matic next time.

Only good thing about this is that we'll definitely beat them at their place in the league now.

Wolves just wanted it more tonight. Plain and simple. Ran harder. First to every 50-50. Our players were just going through the motions.

Wolves against Sheep, I'm afraid. Why we looked so hesitant in the final third I don't know.

Absolutely fecking hopeless. They should all be ashamed after that. Disgusted.

Ole has a lot to answer for with this. From not including a youth striker on the bench, not reacting to the individual horror shows from our forwards or the collective horror show of our tactics, lack of pace and lack of ideas.

There's no silver lining here.

Being dumped out of the FA Cup - the only trophy available to us to realistically win - is major.

The positive to this performance and second poor result on the bounce is we get to see Ole’s reaction and if he does actually really have something about him. We were completely outplayed here today. Having a whole team of inconsistent players really doesn’t help though!

Martial, Pogba, Lingard, and rashford were fecking shite in attack. I can't see we're dominating Europe or the League with these attacking players.

Takes very little for some to turn.

In truth we need the international break. Look tired, which isn't surprising.

Well and truely back to earth with a bump after the PSG game, old problems rearing their head and worrying turn in form considering we need to finish the season strongly if we're to get top 4.

Didn't look energised at all. Looked tired upfront and in defence. Wouldn't worry too much until this becomes a pattern.

Couldn't break them down and they counterattacked with pace. We were second best tonight.

I think we need this international break. Let's see how we come back after it.

In hindsight I think it was too many players out of rhythm coming back from injuries, Martial/ Lingard / Herrera. We were very poor and deservedly out of it. Although tbf Wolves didn't do much themselves.

Sack Ole, sell Rashford.
In all seriousness though, what a fecking joke of a performance.
Majority of the players need to hang their heads in shame today, big changes needed in the summer unfortunately.

I had a feeling it wouldn't be easy but feck me, the passing was atrocious. Can't get any kind of tempo going if you cant string together three passes.

Worst game under Ole by far. Absolutely no energy, threat or movement. An absolute shambles from start for finish.

We need to pull out as many players from this pointless international break as we can, rest up and get our heads in the game for a top 4 scrap.

Pogba, Matic very poor and no excuse.

Lingard and Martial just back from injury and didn’t look at the races.

Wolves were magnificent - solid at the back and dangerous on the counter.

We just didn’t create enough and paid the price.

It would be great if we beat them in the return fixture.

Disgraceful performance. Two easy goals in by Romero too. Shaw made an assist

Should have had a pen first half. Knew we would get fecked over after the city game earlier.

Didn’t offer anything and seemed to come with the wrong game plan.

Everyone handing city the quad
