I agree it is unfair but we had to make a choice and which is why taking the neutral vote was the lesser of the two evils
Yeah I fully understand that I didn't see that you had come to a conclusion by the time I replied.

Thought reinforcement pick was by pick timing...seems indnyc has changed.
People had said no to pick timings.. So we agreed on reverse order as is usual for snakes

I just want to add one negative to picking 1st or 16th with the double pick is that I made the mistake of rushing a pick to keep my timing down and forgot about a player I really wanted when I first started this draft - Big Willie Young. Probably wouldn't have changed my first round loss but I certainly would have more fun posting the "We've got the Biggest Willie in the land" chants and claiming that Young would simply scare John Toshack into submission.

Then you look at a possible XI (even before last couple of games done) and it'd have been scarily good.

It's a deep pool IMO - could potentially have gotten away with just a single decade in terms of depth, although I like the fact that the late 70s / early 80s stars don't need an asterix to get their dues.

The player pool is pretty deep and there were some really good players in the UK who don't get the recognition that they deserve.. Someone like Sansom for example wouldn't be a bad pick even in an all time draft at least for the first couple of rounds.

That's all I was after really. I know how good some of the 70s/80s players were because I watched them but the lack of TV coverage compared to the last 20 years was chalk and cheese, which maybe led to a perception that the time pre PL was all about hoofing the ball, terrible tackles and fans in flat caps with a pie.
