It’s kind of sad where these two teams are at right now.

Christ, which Spurs fans have you been talking to!

@balaks @InLevyITrust @GlastonSpur @cjj I'm sure will all confirm that the 'spurs do better without Kane' thing is a load of nonsense and was based on a run ages ago where the whole team was doing really well.

He's our best player and one of the few players putting in respectable performances this season. We've put in loads of dogshit performances without Kane, believe me.
Yeah we play much better with Kane in the team. People who think otherwise don't watch us enough.

Spurs look alright here, just a question of whether they can get the first goal today as Everton are actually tough to break down when they score first.

Or it could just be 0-0.

Davies once again having a really good game. His pressing and energy is great.

Worried about Digne though, he’s having a poor season.

How in Gods name is that a yellow card?

He got to the ball first - if anything the foul was the other way.

There are certain grounds that just always look depressing on TV and Goodison is one of them. Can't remember the sun ever shining there either.

Its one of the oldest grounds in the country. The commentators still have to ignore all health and safety regulations just to get to the announcer position.

I agree. Even I don’t understand why Poch keeps selecting him. Lamela and lo Celso should be picked ahead. Maybe he sees something in training, contract clause or he has a good relationship with him and trust he will find his form.
Isn't Lamela injured?

We have had the better of the chances so far but it’s been a poor game. The league positions of both teams is reflected in the quality of the match so far.

Atkinson proper hates Richarlison. Getting held back every time he's trying to receive the ball and nothing is given.

WHY IS ERIKSEN IN THE TEAM JUST SO HE CAN LOSE THE BALL.
Surely this can only prove how adept of a coach Poch is? If you take the drive, desire and work rate out of liverpool, they would start to look extremely average also, specifically the midfield, who thrive of the whole team play. Tottenham seem to have lost this the last year, almost like they seen the Champions league final as their pinnacle, whilst having players like Eriksen and co in their last year and not renewing, could always be a recipe for disaster. Feel Poch feels the same, and this could be his final season too. Which would be unfortunate, with family living and from Tottenham, it's been fantastic seeing them in recent years.

Just a general sense of apathy in this game. No side really seems to give a shite what happens.

Speaking in terms of how Tottenham are on a whole this season. I see eriksen a symptom of that, with Poch not exactly being blessed with squad depth.

Edit. Not supporting Eriksen here btw, just to be clear, his attitude this season has been appalling.
