Ya , the super cup final midweek was headwrecking, just put the feckin flag up if it’s offside.
Zidane’s behaviour this summer is reminiscent of Jose’s last year. There almost feels an element of self sabotage in that he’d be happy for the midfield to struggle so he can point out the failure to sign Pogba, thus proving him “right”. Never seen Llorente play either, should he have also been kept?

Aubameyang's movement is exquisite, lovely first touch as well but he doesn't half seem to lack composure at times.

No surprise, anyone who has watched him at Betis or Spain u21 saw that coming. I wanted him here if Pogba went the other way and a player would have been included. Real are a weird club in not playing him more often.

After years and years of watching Arsenal people are still falling into the trap of creaming themselves over players they've recently signed based on a home performance at home to a crap team in the August sun.

There is a reason Ceballos can't get in the Madrid team. You'll see it when the games start coming thick and fast, and when the old gloves come out. He looks like the typical diminutive Arsenal signing. Makes the simple look very flashy.

You never know, he might end up being used as a makeweight in a Pogba transfer next summer. In fairness they didn't include any transfer clauses in his loan deal so maybe they're just getting a nice free year of development.

As I said before I don't mind if its tight and there's doubt in the linesman mind, but if he's 2-3 yards offside, just flag it, don't allow the play to go on and waste time.

No one in their right mind thinks they'd win the title (flaky away from home, defence is terrible) but no one can deny they've done some good business over summer.

Their transitions from midfield to attack this season will be exciting.

This. He is a good player, but he is nowhere near Pogba.

What if a goal is scored and then it turns out that it wasn't actually offside? That's the entire point of that directive with VAR active, to prevent goals from being wrongly disallowed...

Sideshow Bob at the back, Diet Fabregas in midfield and Gervinho mk.2 on the right wing (has he touched it yet?).

They're the same old Arsenal.
