Premier League Gameweek 24

If you take everything into account. The team, the position we were in, and the importance of the game. The Sheff Utd game was much worse. The WBA game was a dead rubber.
Think you’re probably right.

That's obviously a penalty to me?

Lascalles clearly tackles from the wrong side, and whether he gets a slither of the ball or not he's clearly cleaned out Abraham on the way to do it. I thought we'd pretty much universally had it decided that those tackles were not allowed because of the risk of injury as clearly demonstrated in this instance by Abraham having to go off injured.

From one angle it looks a great tackle and from another it looks like he clearly takes his leg first. Tight one though.

Tammy was utterly dreadful though. Miles through and not getting a shot on goal is poor from that position.

I thought it looked a great challenge in real time, so I can understand why the referee hasn't given it, but it's exactly the type of situation VAR was made for. It's clear from the replays he's gone through the planted foot before getting the ball.

This season is fully set up for a pragmatic manager like Moyes and to be fair to them he’s clutching it at every corner.

It is pissing me off how shite we are at home currently/poo ourselves when playing rubbish teams.

If Werner doesn't score in this game, it will be one goal in his last twenty Chelsea appearances, with that goal coming against Morecambe.

Well Newcastle have been shite, I'm going to save myself having to listen to another evening of listening to Martin Tyler breath.

Abraham's injury has proved to be a blessing in disguise thus far for Chelsea.

From a Man United point of view the gap to 5th is only 4 points now.

Chelsea are coming for that number two spot. They're creeping up the table. When Tuchel took over they were 10 points behind us. With a win today they'll cut that down to four.

Actually delighted for him. Not scoring but absolutely working his ass off. Deserved that goal.

Can’t believe I wanted Jamal Lewis here in the summer he’s been shocking since joining Newcastle..

Great to see Tuchel's impact already, especially the play against the ball, really good stuff. Their style reminds me a bit of Bayern.

Not bad half considering playing 12 men seemingly. Mount needs improve final ball.

Ludicrous watching no VAR replay as Tammy sycthed down then they try everything to disallow Werner goal...

Kovacic is so good at carrying the ball forward. Technically sound player

What odds would you have got on that at the start of the season ?
Liverpool 6th in mid Feb.
Very good ones if you're willing to put the money on it. This would be pre Van Dijk injury.
