Arsenal fans in being whiny shock.

(edit: not here, just generally).
They've been conditioned that everyone is out to get their players and rough them up.

Some players do take it far (Stoke, Deeney) but their players haven't been exactly innocent.

True, there's levels to it (Stoke were generally awful)

AFTV accusing Maupay of trying to kill him
DT just said it was as dangerous as a 2 footed tackle.
He also starts every sentence with Robbie, listen Robbie .. It would fry my head. Like a kid looking for attention.
At least we know this isnt an act anymore

Dipping tea in toast
There is a reason yellow cards are given to taking players out in the air in rugby, that’s was a poor attempt to challenge for the ball, Leno had it before maupay even jumped into him.

I've watched it back and it all happened very quickly. There was very little time between him catching the ball and the contact.

He's just trying to force him to spill the ball obviously it's not malicious.

Incredibly bad luck for Arsenal. Be amazed if Leno hasn't torn a ligament there. 6 months out at least.

Fair challenge though. What striker on the planet doesn't jump in for that?

Yeah supposedly we whine while one third of our squad's out with contact injuries with the refs almost never giving a foul in our favor
That cvnt Maupay jumped into Leno while he didn’t have any chance to get to the ball
& also quite rich coming from you lot who are used to getting penalties from dives & who still think you're bound to get a penalty everytime you fall

This. Been their best player so far imo.
Him and Martenelli have potential but I'm not sure what the fuss is with Nketiah and especially Willock (who I genuinely didn't realize was playing at City until afterwards).

Maupay just doing what pretty much every other striker or attacker does in that very same situation. Just a freak occurrence.

How many players jump for a header and the opposition player won't jump themselves opting to give the jumping player a nudge/push. Generally not given as a foul, yet the jumping player can land awkwardly and often cause a niggle. But largely there is no injury.

These teams are entitled to play the way they want to narrow the gap in class between the top teams.

It's up to the big cats to "compete" with them. Chelsea and United found a way, Arsenal found excuses.

The thing is when they last relevant they were known for scrapping. Vieira, Bergkamp, Lauren, even Henry would put in snide challenges.

Obviously some clubs have taken it too far with the idea that to stop Arsenal you just needed to be physical but it's hilarious when their supporters try to rewrite the history books and overlook their own team's guilty behaviour.

Arsenal above Spurs and only three points behind 5th.

Feels like they've only won about 5 games this season.
