Generally the same as any other game as far as i know.
Cheers!

Was hoping it might be earlier than normal. That way I might see the team before going to bed and decide whether I want to wake up for it.

If there are a few youngsters playing (Chong, Gomes, Greenwood, Garner etc) I'd set an alarm but if it's going to be a senior second team I don't think I'll bother.

Even though it's just a tour squad and preseason games are glorified warmups, I am so stoked for this tour to start. Despite how generally boring we were last year, especially toward the end of the season, there's always such a big empty space in my life when United isn't on TV. Excited to see some of these youngsters get some time, too!

Me too. That said, although selfishly, I like watching the youth players, I do think there are too many of them on this year’s tour in reality. There’s little point taking the reserves abroad and filing it under ‘pre-season preparation’. Usually we have 3 or 4, there’s like half the squad full of kids this year. If we are touring with players who are not in the manager’s plans, it’s a bit of a pointless exercise to a large degree.

Of course, I know the circumstances with the World Cup and all, but I’m just not Sure how useful it will be in reality in preparing our season. Of course, a number of other clubs will be in similar positions.

I think he will start with the senior figures and maybe throw a couple of younger ones on - and if they do well maybe they will start the next game. May sleep on the sofa and wake up for second half!

Could ask my mom to take care of the little one in the morning and postpone my students for Sat perhaps but 4:00 sounds a tad bit too much.

I agree, this year's tour is definitely more of a marketing exercise than an actual preseason preparation. That being said, it'll still be great for fans stateside to see the team play even if there aren't too many first teamers. I have personally witnessed people who had never watched us play come out of a preseason game and be jazzed enough about it to go out and buy the EPL TV package (this was back when Fox Soccer existed for fans in the U.S.). It's fun watching uninformed people get on the bus because of experiences like this.

It will probably be the whole 2 different teams for each half sketch to be honest pal. So near enough everyone should get minutes.

Didn't realise Greenwood was a Bradford lad, from Wibsey a few miles from where i grew up. He looks a real prospect.

I just want to see Fosu-Mensah take that RB position. Hopefully José gives him a shot.
Isn't DM his best position? Whatever the case TFM has to take this chance. He is more than ready to play anywhere.

Hopefully Chong and Gomes show Jose enough this preseason to make him use them this season, because we really need that injection of youthful energy in attack but with quality.

Makes me think back to the times where everyone used to brag about how we win stuff without buying success and we do it through believing in our youth players. Fast forward a few years after Fergie had retired and now look.... We've got some really talented youngsters going on tour and people don't give a shit because there's not enough shiny new signings or superstars on show.
Pretty sure there is another reason for that.

Normally would get MUTV for the tour then cancel in 3 months time but, really just don’t feel it. Which as you say but weird considering one of the joys of every pre season ever has been the kids getting played.

It's some specialist channel that you need an extra Spanish subscription for. If you are in a Hispanic or mainly Mexican area or close to one I think the bars and restaurants will have it.
I'm out in the burbs and I prefer watching at home anyways.

I'll find the game somehow.

Cheers though.

Hopefully Diego Lainez plays and impresses for America so that our club is given more incentive to sign him. Having him along with Chong, Greenwood, and Gomes would be a dream.

edit: He might be in an u21 tournament :(

US mate.

Was thinking Telemundo or Univision would show the game(if ESPN isn't). Really surprised they're not.
Only source I can find it on in the US is MUTV. Fortunately, they have an Amazon Fire app now.

More excited about this tour than any others in recent memory. I will be staying up late at 3am to watch my beloved United on MUTV and hopefully see cameos from Greenwood, Chong and Gomez. Sanchez late visa and the players who are resting from their world cup exploits may well open up chances for a rising star.

Marcus got his chance because Martial Injured himself in a Europa League game and the rest is history. Axel is another that can force is way into the squad at the expense of either Jones or Rojo and looked a great talent in the previous season. We have a balanced well rounded squad that would be sensational if can get a World class Centre Back and an attacking Left Wing Back to show Shaw what a top quality Wing back should be doing game in game out.

The right wing problem is easily resolved with Sanchez starting there with Young, Valencia and Dalot being told to whip crosses in and Taith Chong as back up from the bench. Both Chong, Gomez and Greenwood are all already light years above Shaquiri who will start on Liverpool's bench!
